  1. And Poole has staged 14 (I think) fixtures so far. Less than half, but it's the only club trying to get all their fixtures done? Bravo Poole!
  2. Depends if Shovvy gets stuck at an auction again. Hope he tells us more about it if he does this time. Really interesting stuff.
  3. Would be a bloody shame to lose it. It’s an absolutely fantastic service. I honestly had no idea it was struggling for volunteers, I certainly wouldn’t mind helping out on occasion. Is it worth putting a post up on here to ask if anybody else is keen?
  4. Yeah, I was also wondering that. Nothing from yesterday’s meetings either.
  5. Well…. I would say Wright more than held his own during that encounter. Comfortable points winner. You, on the other hand, are preaching from behind a keyboard about how hard somebody is.
  6. Didn’t Workington flourish at NDL level only in 2023? It’s since they moved up that it’s been a problem.
  7. Forget Bailey and Rushen, try and get Pawelczak. Unbelievable talent.
  8. Been doing some digging and looks as if Boothby took out a questionable couple of loans from Tallaght Financial Ltd recently. Not a good sign. On the surface you would expect Oxford finances to be healthy. Good crowds (although they have wained somewhat through this season). If they can’t afford to pay riders on the basis of that, something is definitely wrong. I would suggest all is not well in the Boothby camp. Where is @Bojangles, he seems to know what’s going on behind the scenes?
  9. Just wait for Peter Schroeck to try and book him as a guest.
  10. That’s how Peter Schroeck already does it.
  11. Take a guess? If there was any truth in it, there would have been a thread ‘Oxford riders not being paid’ before, and we wouldn’t conveniently be hearing this for the first time a few mins after a rider has a tantrum.
  12. Anybody who thinks Etheridge and Hagon are good guests for Gusts and Knudsen should apply for the position as Peter Shroeck's assistant.
  13. Oxford have no chance now. They will have to beat Glasgow away, otherwise 18 points (what Edinburgh already have) is the maximum they can get.
  14. Victor Palovaara has made an impressive start to his Oxford Spires career.
  15. With no Tarasenko this season, I'm interested to know what injustice you will use when Glasgow walk the final. Can you let us all know now, so we can mentally prepare?
  16. Workington: Troy Batchelor, Fraser Bowes, Tate Zischke, Jye Etheridge, Antti Vuolas, Jacob Hook, Vinnie Foord Oxford: Sam Masters, Rider Replacement, Jordan Jenkins, Mitch McDiarmid, Cameron Heeps, Luke Killeen, Jonas Knudsen
  17. It usually doesn't work out too badly for Poole whether he's there or not.
  18. You'd probably be wrong, but we're never going to prove that to each other so it was a bit of random thing to say in the first place. At least you agree it's one of the better tracks.
  19. Guessing you haven't seen much racing at Wroclaw before. It's a great track.
  20. Crazy that some people are moaning about Will Cairns. I'm sure some of it is down to the old Poole jealously factor, but in reality he has a great future. I've seen enough of him riding to know that he has plenty of potential, but give him time (which I also hope he does himself - unlike Ashton Boughen). He's 16 years old, so is always going to be a bit up and down. And don't forget he was up against arguably the strongest reserve pairing in the league in Luke Killeen and Francis Gusts - two riders who started the season in the league above.
  21. I'm no Peter Schroeck fan but, no, it's absolute nonsense. No idea who started that rumour, but it's been taken completely out of context. Richard Palmer was interviewing Freddy Hodder before the start of the meeting and thanked him for his good performance when guesting in the last home meeting against Leicester. Hodder simply replied with "I'm sorry I can't guest for you today" as a joke, and somebody has taken that as if he was asked to guest.
  22. Unreliable yes, but I bet he's missed less meetings than Nick Morris over the last two years! 😆
  23. Victor Palovaara replaces Craig Cook.
  24. Not great. Still very healthy for the Cheetahs and Chargers, but Spires crowds have definitely dropped off.
