  1. The same sympathy that Sheffield got last year when they lost Holder, Woffinden, and then Musielak ?
  2. Tai's 2024 average is around 9, his home average around 10. The rider replacements for him last night scored 8. In my view the choice to use R/R was the weaker option compared to bringing in a guest of the same calibre as Tai.
  3. If you think it's narrow for bikes, you should try it in a car. 😉
  4. So you didn't know the facts bit decided to slag off the Sheffield track preparation on 2 different threads ? Did you even watch the match or just jump on the bandwagon ?
  5. Lots of comments on here last week about the track conditions, lack of rakers, etc. so I assumed my eyes had been playing tricks on me all season. I made sure I paid attention tonight, and sure enough, 4 rakers on each bend, just like I had seen at every previous match this season. The track curator did the same job he always does, and many riders ran the outside line but no crashes. Can we all now accept that the accident last week was as much down to rider error as the track conditions, or are we going to continue to vilify the Sheffield track and it's preparation ? I have no doubt that Sayfutdinov is the best rider in the UK leagues at the moment, but he is not infallible, and I believe there was also something posted to say his footrest snapped off in the back straight incident so I am sure that would also have been a contributory factor. He did exactly what we want to see the top riders do and gave it his all to win the race, but sadly it didn't come off and he ended up hitting the fence, but let's blame the track instead.
  6. Glad it wasn't just me that saw this. Didn't post last night as I didn't want to wake up to a 'pile on' this morning. It seems that some on here can't wait for an excuse to atttack the Sheffield track, riders, and fans, even without the full facts.
  7. Because it was after the specified cut off date for new signings.
  8. That would be when Sheffield used guests from within the British league ? Unlike the previous year when Belle Vue brought a rider in from Poland for the play offs.
  9. And yet the stockcar promoters don't seem to have any major issues in working with him.
  10. Probably because if they stopped for an hour now they wouldn't be able to get to the end of the match due to noise restrictions. I would imagine most tracks now have a curfew included in their planning permission.
  11. Would that be the fading star who finished second yesterday ? Did you listen to his interview mid-meeting ? The reason his 2nd and 3rd heats were not so good is that he used the same tyre, unturned, for the first 3 races. He then turned it and won his 4th (beating Bewley) before slipping back in his 5th. This left him a brand new tyre for the semi and the final, giving him a brand new leading edge for both races. Admittedly, he has lost some speed, but tactically he is still very astute. His influence on Team GB has been immense to get us to the position where we won the SON in 2021. He is also still a very talented team rider. Look at some of his rides alongside Kerr for Sheffield last season.
  12. So what we are saying is that away fans have had unpleasant experiences at most tracks, but for some reason everyone hates Sheffield for it.
  13. A friend of mine who was a Wolverhampton fan will never go to Belle Vue again after she was verbally abused and threatened while walking out after a meeting with her 4 year old daughter. What sort of a man stoops to that level ?
  14. About 20 minutes later ? That makes it ok then does it ? It was nothing to do with what Tai said. It was in response to a bit of light hearted booing from Tigers fans. Massive uproar on here because Tai swore and kids might have heard it, but it's fine to make offensive gestures that were far more likely to be seen by kids. I know there is a general dislike of Tai on here, but the double standards are laughable at times.
  15. Pity you didn't lose with the same grace. I can only assume that most Ipswich fans had done what Tai requested by the time the medal presentations took place, as you are all quick to mention his comments on the mic but none of you seemed to spot Doyle giving double middle fingers to the Sheffield fans when he went up to collect his loser's medal.
  16. And the semi 2nd leg. His last 2 meetings at Sheffield were 7+1 and 9+1. Most Tigers fans would have liked him at number 6 this season, but the numbers didn't fit.
  17. Yeah, but on a positive note, at least you can use it as an excuse when you drop an aggregate point next month.
  18. I'm intrigued as to where this person claims this 'announcement' was made. Buster's only involvement with stock car meetings is renting the track to the promotion, and running his burger stall. He certainly doesn't get anywhere near a mic to make any announcements, so my guess would be that someone had a dig at him while buying a burger and he gave a sarcastic response.
  19. Comfortably ? 8 points and Doyle missed both matches.
  20. No crying here. Beaten by the better team on the night. Ipswich last year were a 2 man team away from home (3 if King performed), but have done a good job of filling the gaps this season and look to be the strongest all round team in the league. Sheffield have taken a gamble of being top heavy with 3 big heat leaders, but still need good back up from Pickering, Howarth and Edwards. The loss of Edwards cost us 3 or 4 points, and Howarth is currently underperforming. On a different night we could have won by 6-8 points but it wasn't to be.
  21. Just like Woffinden in 2016 that your fans cried about for the next 5 years.
  22. So straight forward in the rules that you announced him before 1st leg of semi but he didn't race until 2nd leg, after your club got lawyers involved ? The 2 scenarios were completely different and everyone knows it.
  23. But injury replacements are only allowed before the transfer cut off. You should have used guests from within the British league.
