Plymouth to win. From a Glasgow fan ๐

I'm not sure how I feel about that ๐ซฃ.

Glasgow v Edinburgh, BSN, Sunday 3 May 3pm

Perry was riding those last few races injured, was he not? Despite the numbers, I just think Perry's attitude & fight goes further, and maybe had more potential to grow. When it comes down to the crunch, neither are in the same realms as some of their reserve counterparts. That's the bigger issue. -
If Poole opt to keep the current line up... Dan Gilkes? Wishful thinking?

Well done to the Monarchs, by far the superior team in both legs! Dan T showing Glasgow management why he should have been the 8+ pointer retained. Hausl is terrible. I do wonder if he was picked based on that one good meeting/u21 SON. He wouldn't have been in the points let alone win in H10 if it hadn't have been for Bomber nursing him through - slowing and fending off Castagna. Hagon's inconsistently is beyond frustrating. This is the same lad that scored 10+1 against the same team last night! Honestly, I've never understood Hodder's retention. If it was from last year's reserves, Perry would have had my vote. Perry never gave up, sometimes to his detriment with more tumbles, but certainly more fire than Hodder. Bomber doesn't seem to have got going yet. Howarth seems to resort to driving dirty & Pederson only seems to look good coz the others are so shocking! Will we see changes in the coming week? Or will heads be in the same - leave it too late - and make changes when the leagues already far too gone?! -
Take that back. Newman's not even out in 14. It's been a long night ๐
-
I don't think it's made that much of a difference - given Hausl's efforts at Armadale, I'm not sure he and Leon would have done much better than the 8 points that the guests have scored..potentially 9 or 10 when heat 14 runs..next year apparently.
-
Well it depends - as a Glasgow fan, it finished after about heat 3!

I'm not sure it would have changed much. The points don't reflect, but I do think Hagon looked more competitive than Hodder last night. Edit - I also think Howarth should have gone off 15m than replace with Hodder in H9. -

He wouldn't be the first nor last time do 2 or 3 on the bounce. He had good pace & energy, I think he's the type of rider to thrive in those circumstances. There was an interval between 11 & 12 too. -

Some decisions blow my mind. Leon should have been given the T/S ride. Would argue Leon should be out in 15 too, and I'd bet my money now that he's not! -

I'm sure Michael Max covered a couple of meetings last season? Or previous? I'll apologise in advance if you do take the stand and sound issues are fixed! -

AccuWeather shoes a slightly improved forecast. I'm in the leafy suburbs of Glasgow just now, it's wet & grey, with not the slightest ray of hope! -

Improving forecast but, call me cynical, still think rain may be the winner tonight. @TheWellBehavedWorrall if it's any consolation, I sat in the grand stand for Ben fund and it seemed like someone's turned the centre green audio down ๐. Not sure if it made the cheesy 80's recurring playlist better or worse ๐. -
You will be aware that over the weekend there have been a series of meetings following the termination of the deal between SIS and Oxford Greyhounds to stream racing from the BetGoodwin Stadium. โInevitably that decision and subsequent ongoing negotiations impact on Oxford Speedway and I can confirm that Wednesdayโs BSN Series meeting between the Cheetahs and Plymouth will not go ahead. โWe will, however, travel to The Coliseum on Saturday night to face the Gladiators with the visit of Poole next Wednesday opening the official home season at the BetGoodwin Stadium. โPlymouth โ and I must thank Mark Phillips for his understanding and co-operation on this โ will now visit Cowley on April 22 to compete the BSN Southern Section fixtures โ a date Berwick were due to travel south to fulfil a Championship fixture on. โThat fixture will be re-arranged for later in the season. โWith complex and involved negotiations between a number of stakeholders, including ourselves, on-going and the added inconvenience of a double Bank Holiday I did not feel it was possible to run Wednesdayโs meeting. โI firmly believe that it is short-term inconvenience which will have long-term and far-reaching benefits for Oxford Speedway and Oxford Stadium. โBritish Speedway Promoters Ltd and the Speedway Control Bureau have been kept updated regarding the situation, as has Oxford Greyhounds. โI know there has been much online speculation and a lot of misinformation posted โas factโ. โWe will keep our loyal supporters and sponsors updated via the clubโs official channels.โ Jamie Courtney, 7 April, 2026 #OxfordSpeedway | #BritishSpeedway๐ฌ๐ง"

Interview with Gavin Parr on the stream tonight before the meeting. Gavin spoke about Riss' absence saying he didn't expect he would be back this season. That he would love to see him return over the coming weeks, but expect he'll need around 6 months out (based on previous occurrence).

Dan is still on the confirmed FIM starting list, updated 20/05. Am I reading too much into that? Or is there a possibility he's still gonna try despite the injury?
