Shock news NOT Poole Speedway has yet again won the race for one of Britains' hottest racing talents, having secured the signature of Cooper Rushen for the 2026 season. The teenager who is making great waves in the sport is known as much for the stylish tassels on his racing suit as he is for the immense talent that he has on a bike. Cooper turns 16 on March 29th 2026 and will step in at reserve to join Will Cairns who made the leap up to Championship racing last season with Poole. Confirming Cooper as a starter, Dan Ford, promoter, said "We were intent on bringing Copper to Poole, like most of the speedway world, we've been monitoring his progress over the past few years. He's a stylish, charismatic young British rider and I'm delighted he'll be a Pirate for 2026. There is no doubt he has an incredible future ahead of him and we are delighted to have, arguably, the best two teenage British riders turning out for us this coming season. The Poole side is now complete for 2026 and falls within 0.28 of the 40-point limit Richard Lawson (9.58); Zach Cook - capt (7.34); Lewi Kerr (6.77); Fraser Bowes (5.63); Dan Gilkes (4.59); Will Cairns (3.81); Cooper Rushen (2.00). From Poole web page. CAPTAIN COOK SAILS BACK IN 15/12/25 Poole Speedway has been given a massive boost with the news that their 2025 team captain Zach Cook has opted to extend his racing at Championship level and will therefore skipper the Pirates again in 2026. The 26-year old Cowran who finished the double winning season on an average of 7.34 revealed "I am really happy to be back with Pirates for 2026. To be honest, I wasn't originally planning on racing in the Championship next season. With other commitments I thought it might spread me a bit too thin." "But Matt and Dan were so keen to get me signed and the more we talked, the more it felt right. I love this club; I love the supporters and I still feel there's some unfinished business here. I want to be part of helping Poole chase more success." Admitting that the promotion were determined to try and persuade Zach to return, promoter Dan Ford said "when Zach first told us of his plans not to do the Championship next season, we knew we would have to work on him as we were absolutely determined to get him back on board. He is a fantastic captain, a brilliant team rider, leads by example and is very much someone who always delivers when the big meetings come around. Quite simply he is impossible to replace." "We are absolutely delighted to have him back and leading the Pirates again in 2026, linking up with Richard (Lawson) Lewi and Will (again)." "Along with Fraser (Bowes) and Dan (Gikes) we are happy with how our team plans have gone so far."

As it looks Prem. is a feeder leaque for Poland why not go without the big names and run a leaque for domestice riders. Start fresh 5.6. ao 7 man teams with just one cup comp, teams could be more competive wih no superstars away in the distance after bend 2. Thoughts
