  1. Just imagine the kicking Sheffield would get on this forum if they unveiled a new logo drawn by a fan. They'd be accused of turning the club logo into some cheap Blue Peter competition - send in your drawings. Sheffield have done the right thing by getting their branding done professionally.
  2. That seems a bit cruel. I always say hello to Mike if I see him in the pits.
  3. I think this is the link they meant to post (if I've got it right) https://www.facebook.com/foreverpanthers/posts/pfbid0jVbPWKYhcPLyyVyyn7yovxywpADVHZZJ3Y9PMLamX1QcpVyuKcUwvzFM7nTjLTh8l
  4. 24 meetings for Leicester 6 retirements
  5. They said "If Picko comes in on 7.76, the 6th rider will only have an average of 0.04". But there would be 3.04 left for the final rider, so to make that mistake they've presumably either counted Killeen as a 3.00 or allowed for Etheridge twice.
  6. Sounds like you've counted Killeen as a 3.00, but he's the rising star. The 37 point average is only for the top 6 riders. Killeen doesn't count. The 6th rider (Etheridge or other) has to have a minimum of 3.00. And there's a maximum of 7.80 left for the remaining rider, which is enough for Pickering's 7.76
  7. It means they have a maximum of 7.80 left, and Pickering is 7.76
  8. Is anyone going to run Northampton? It was a real possibility to make the 5th team if Ipswich failed, but with Ipswich looking like running, is there still the same energy out there to make Northampton happen? or is everyone happy with 5 teans?
  9. Weren't the Polish press recently trying to spread stories around that Richard Coleman (Mayfield Sports Events) was spreading himself too thinly? Weren't they suggesting he couldn't possibly run the 2026 SGP series as he was obliged to be at the MotoGP events at the same time? They must think it strange if someone who is already badly overstretched would be wanting to run a British Speedway team...
  10. Didn't have rising stars in the early 90s
  11. Garrity spent far less time inside than Nelson Mandela did. He must've been a proper wrong 'un. Though to be fair, prison must've worked. He never reoffended, and they let him run a country.
  12. Though one did miss a year or two after a further drugs ban. So was O.J. Simpson.
  13. Someone else who made a mistake in his youth, but was given a second chance and went on to become a world champion. Sounds like a good mentor.
  14. You seem to know a lot about what he did. I'm starting to wonder if you were there!
  15. Prison is there to punish and rehabilitate. He's done his time, now we've got to hope the rehabilitation works. He has experience in two things - Speedway and crime. If we don't want him to return to crime, we need to push him down the path of an honest future. Sadly it seems the "Holier Than Thou" brigade want to push him down a path of crime, so they can say "I was right".
  16. No problem. Not sure why you thought it was a league of 4, but happy to help.
  17. Guess we find out after Jan 6th. Press release just said "at least 5 teams" but also seemed hopeful that Ipswich would join. My guess would be a team at Northampton raceway.
  18. AGM is 6 January. Hopefully Ipswich will be sorted and become the 6th team
  19. No one said a league of 4 teams. It's a league of at least 5. Could be 6 if Ipswich get sorted.
  20. ARC own Newcastle Greyhound Stadium. The same guys who closed Birmingham and kicked speedway out of Central Park, Sittingbourne.
