  1. It’s only forecast as light, 1mm in the afternoon, over before 7. It was also forecast today and didn’t happen at all, dry all day, I’m a mile from the track, we’ve had a lot more rain than that and gone ahead. Plus presumably they’ve had ample time to work on the track. Should be a good meeting.
  2. Indeed! https://www.facebook.com/100057789200041/posts/pfbid0oqv2mt4xpLKprTXjJCBqZXhDzene4CQbJQYLuhsPH2zXjETwnbQmRbQn4oV9sxwEl/?

  4. I stand corrected, thought it was just the rumour mill again but this looks serious. It will be devastating if this causes any issues with the Speedway 😕
  5. Not this again, it’s old hat and nonsense spread by the anti-greyhound lobbies re any risk to the speedway, although yes sadly the illness part is I believe valid. How about a positive post after last nights packed out Cheetahs v Bees meeting… there’s no risk to speedway with crowds like that, they ran out of food after heat 4, and sold out of beer and spirits, and the racing was excellent.
  6. Probably not a big deal, as there are only going to be 2 Oxford teams next season they’ll prob switch to a week night again. I didn’t notice any particular improvement on attendance doing Sundays, which is a shame as a win tomorrow and they’ll be League Champions again 🤞C’MON THE CHARGERS!!! 💥
  7. Suggest you watch heat 1 again with the battle to line between Masters and Lawson if you want to see someone who doesn’t give up…
  8. short memory, he had a very bad crash and probably came back too soon from injury. He’s a good guy and doesn’t stop trying. We raised £3k to help him out. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqxel2r0459o
  9. I’ll be at Sandy Lane cheering the Oxford teams on win or lose. What kind of supporter doesn’t go to a meeting because their team isn’t in the play-offs… 🤷🏼‍♂️ half of them watch OUFC week in week out and they haven’t won a trophy since 1985.
  10. SCB Regulation: Rule 15.3.2 – Start Marshal Duties According to published guidance: “The Start Marshal will bring Riders to the Tapes (in order by gate position), position them within the marked grid with front wheels within 75 mm of the tapes, ensure motorcycles are stationary and rear wheels in contact with the track, then signal to the Referee and walk away.” Once they’ve given the signal to the referee, the marshal must walk away from the grid—i.e., they cannot remain on the track or at the start line by the fence. 1. Safety First: Standing on the track or at the tape line—or close by the fence—during the start exposes them to rider movement and potential danger. 2. Regulatory Requirement: The SCB strictly mandates vacating the track before any race start protocol proceeds. 3. Operational Clarity: Keeping marshals off the track ensures full visibility for riders and prevents any obstruction in the staging area.
  11. Good crowd tonight, biggest one for a while. Good racing, got down to a last heat decider (again) but I think we all know what the outcome of that was going to be with Kurtz and Bewley off 1 and 3…
