But SL is it really in the Promotions interest to finish early ?...... Surely the longer people are there the more they spend...
-
Webby you have to admit you are a bit of an old moaner........ Ok I admit it, so am I.
-
Trouble is as fast as you knock em down, they come back up again !!! Not sure if its a load of balls or all in the wrist action. (but that's enough about Webbo's posts .....Joke Webby Joke before you have a pop)

Unfair to compare Poole to Kings Lynn. One has to pay rent the other doesn't, one doesn't get the benefit for food concessions etc the other does, One has to pay out top $ for its riders, the other doesn't.

I take your Points, Points. I Hope you are right> I dont however see Buster's burgers will save Speedway, even allowing for how over priced they are. How many times do we have to hear about the wheel being re-invented ? Going out to schools is a tried, lame exercise that's been done to death. The Sport needs to think outside of the Box. Its one thing getting people into the stadium ( on a school night), that hard enough. When they have got them there its about trying to generate enough excitement to want to make them want come back. Kids today have a different outlook on entertainment than when I was a kid ( and Dinosaurs roamed the land ). The amount of activities that are there for kids, is endless. not forgetting things like social media and 100 others that are available to them without having to leave their homes. Play stations, X Boxes, etc don't play themselves

Of Course the sport needs to new supporters, but they need them now, as well as building for the future. If the fans don't come now then there is no future. All well and good letting U15's in for zilch, but that wont pay the bills today. I cannot see the likes of NKI agreeing to being paid in 2/3 years time for points he has scored this year, can you ? The TV money isn't there again Today, who knows what deals will be on offer in 2/3 years with regard to TV. Very little stands still in this World, things even move forwards or backwards. In Speedway which way to you think the trend is going ? With the continuation of the 'watering down' of the product do you think that Sport can even hold on to its current support base ?

Points, have no fear, if I don't like what I see I sure wont be returning. Always One to give people a second chance after last years totally unprofessional scenario during and following the Poole meeting. Buster has a lot of bridges to mend, and charging people a quid extra doesn't smack of trying to entice those back he had previously lost. Kids for free, great idea, but keeping what he has is equally important. If there is no today, there sure has hell aint no tomorrow. Plus with the negative vibe seemingly coming out with this years line-up is Buster going to attract the Floating supporter ? Still with Brundle coming in as the new messiah and Young M/S Chapman coming in t to keep and eye on all things, Buster still has a firm hand on the rudder.

Baggy, I look at the example of Norwich City and see they have not put up their season tickets yet again for next season. The reason / they recognise the fact that they are offering an inferior product going forward. Yet still the fans are up in arms about it. Speedway never wants to take its head out of the sand and look at what else is happening in the outside world. It is like the Promoters and The Sport in General is cocooned in its own little World and not aware or prepared to accept what is happening in the World of entertainment/Sport.

It's a so so team, built to a budget I would suggest. Rose, Lambert and the new lad are the potential improveres. As the season unfolds there will be changes to a good few teams in the League. Injuries etc happen. Good that Brundle is advocating a strict fitness n diet regime. Busters Burgers to be replaced by Cheryl's Carrots ? The quid increase will do nothing to attract new bodies to the support, what it will do is make people even more selective on the meetings they attend. People's spare pound is under more pressure than for a long time. With the unknown factors of Brexit still to come. Buster is a brave man upping the anti for an even further inferior product. Still as we know from the past Buster is always right. A nice thank you for the fans who stuck by him after his massive -/:; of last season. For me, I'll be there early doors to see if the 'feel' of the place is right. If not I will leave it to all 'true' Lynn fans to keep the ship afloat. Any news on the Team Sponsor ? I saw good ole Rodg was in the audience last night, if they can't find anyone else maybe he will step back in again.

If so which plan was that.... surely can't have been B

For those that can be assed to turn up tonight, no upsetting Buster by mentioning Holdergate of last season. Bit Like Basil mentioning the war. I see the new Social media/Marketing officer has been appointment at Saddlebow. This was the role that Robin Brundle was advertising ? and the winner is........ Buster's daughter

It's the deep voice and the size 9s that does it.
-
If it is our 3rd qualifier it wont matter as we will be knocked out by then.
-
Not sure that John Davis even owned his own hair

I thought Swindon dropped a few K last season, despite winning the thing. Surely something had to give going forward ? Could be suggest d Doyle being their big earner would be the one to make way

Looks Like the League Title is all yours Shovvy, I guess Its all yours to lose....Then again with the backdrop of choking that has gone on previously..... one can never be quite sure. Anyway Allow me to be the first to offer the warmest of congratulations on your Title win. Or to on the other foot..... I'd like to offer you £1 a bucket for ya 541te

Looks Like 2 Heat Leaders and 5 2nd strings is how we will line-up. Works for me... Lets perhaps leave the glass half empty ideals until we get 3/4 meetings into the season and see how we pitch up against what else is on offer. Can see improvement coming from the likes of Rose and Lambert, only need maybe one other to step up and we could be onto something.
-
With the Lambert, Rose,Kerr, TJ and Procter all onboard what does it leave for the remaining 2?
-
When in the Prem League Didn't Lynn ride against Elite Ipswich in an early season Comp when Ippo had to use a watered down team to comply with the Comp team average?
-
Then we had Mike Lee, how many times did he go public with a transfer request etc. ? All done in the press but each time a new deal was struck. The reason ? Because he was the big draw for the Promotion and what do you get with big draws ? Bums on seats.
-
Lambert said in the article what many riders think without going public with their thoughts. Is thst him being naive or should he be admired for having the conkers to say it out loud ?
-
Webb, how about back in the day when Mr Kings Lynn,Terry Betts use to Tell Maurice/Cyril he wouldn't be back the following season just to squeeze a few quid extra out of them? All part of the game, or not very professional ?
-
Sidney, the Season Opener I would agree with. No question that is excellent value for money and I would happily pay more for that. On the flip side that Edition does show what Philip and his team are capable of when the effort is put in. This 'Out of season' editions are very sparse in terms of news etc and do seem very lacking in effort, Unlike the Bumper Season Preview edition. Goalposts are their Philip. Set By you.

So You think that a 24 page Travel Brochure is added value to your customer ? 33% of the Mag... Devoted to one Advert. Plus X % of the remaining 66% of the mag is also advertising. I am glad Philip You see that as good VFM

Philip ..... You have to admit the contents of this Week's edition are poor, to say the least. Page's of Adverts, 4/5 pages on Exeter speedway form the 70's. Another few page's with an article on the New Zealand lad following up on 3 pages on the same guy last week. As for current up to date news. It is, IMHO very poor. Tell me where I am wrong Philip ? I know it can be difficult to get news worthy items at this time of year, but really I think your readership deserves better than this. Looks very much like a lack of effort has gone into it.....Then to add in a 24 page ( yep 24!!) advertising brochure, is really something else.
