What a rather strange thread title. With only 1 rider above the 8 points and a 42.5 team average to me it seems like the middle to bottom order with be packed with riders of the same kind of standard. Hopefully we wont see to many young lads on 2 point averages thrown to the Wolves. Should in theory make for some close racing... I guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So The League will now be devoid of top names who fly in, trap, ignore the paying public, collect their pay cheque and move on to the next gig. What's not to like ?

Do Kings Lynn really want to go down the Aussie route going forward ? Would think after Buster was bitten on the ass, not once but twice last season he will steer well clear of them.

I'm like GRW ( OMG) Saturday night at Lynn was never to be missed. I well remember going to watch the footie at Norwich, leaping off of that bus on the return journey and jumping on the Speedway bus to Lynn........My hero back in the day was Barry Crowson. No idea why ! Now Speedway at Lynn, I can take it or leave it... Slightest sign of rain, makes my mind up straight away. The Number of times I have been to Lynn over the past couple of seasons, and thought to myself afterwards, why on earth did I bother. I will sure give it a look next season to see if things have improved. Ok I'm a masochist, but I still live in hope if not expectation.

Well there is always Corrie or Emmerdale to fill the void.

Now Im not one for Blowing Smoke up peoples Jackseys. However when JC was in situ at Saddlebow the place had a certain vibe about it from the Minute you walked into the place. It was the sort of vibe that made you think it was going to be a decent nights entertainment, Even when Lynn were taking most team's to the Cleaners and racing wasn't always that. Micman Bennett, certainly added to the entertainment factor. JC's theme nights, the kids looked forward to it every week throughout the School Hols. Difficult to really put your finger on what it was that made it all click, but click it did. The man behind it all was certainly JC. I didn't agree with everything the guy did ( Huggy getting a public dressing down which saw him walk out being one), but he certainly had something to offer Speedway. I would suggest Speedway at Lynn hasn't been the same since the parting of the ways with him and Buster. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Tell, at what Point would Sky be interested again in Speedway in the UK ? Think we have to accept that ship has well and truly sailed. So If Its just BT that have any interest then surely the price will reflex that its a one Horse race. I feel sure the big bucks in terms of TV and in deed Sponsor is really a thing of the past. Remember at Lynn when we had Money Centre, Banham Poultry and Jark Recruitment all as lead sponsors on the team race jacket, all throwing money at the Club. That was back in the old Premiership days. The last few years Good Old Roger has chucked in a few quid, but I would suggest it wasn't on the scale of those 3 mentioned. JC, I am confident could confirm this, if he so wished. Speedway cannot rely on outside money to keep rolling in to prop it up. It has to become self sufficient.
