  1. Greg I think Buster and the Club deserved all they had levelled at them last season.
  2. Greg I would suggest as a Lynn Supporter you should be encouraging people to go to Lynn not trying to push them down the route of other Clubs. Sometimes people should be careful what they wish for. Looking at last year a lot of fans weren't happy with the fayre that was on offer at Saddlebow. Judging by Buster's comment so far I would suggest he wasn't happy with the what he offered last year either. We are a forgiving lot, generally. So lets see what he puts on the table for us come next April. If people like it they will be back. If they don't then maybe Greg they will take your advice and hook off elsewhere.
  3. I'm in total shock with DeltaFoxs post😥 Say it can't be so, surely not. Are Tesco's really putting up the cost of Milk ? I blame Trees and her wage demands.😂
  4. How does the saying go..., something like..... It's best to keep your gob shut and let people think you a knobhead than open it and remove all doubt.
  5. Rose Lambert Jorgenson Auty Palm Toft Is my go at the 5 returning. What would that leave, points wise for the 2 incoming ?
  6. 2 new riders in so that is 5 returning. I wonder if that means New, as in not having ridden for Lynn before?
  7. When is that Haza ? Feels a little like we cannot name ours until everyone one has dined first at the table and we get what's left.
  8. With Mick having it on all video, let's hope it's VHS and not Betamax or Phillips 2000 😂. Maybe we could tempt him to have a sneaky week and give us the run down on what it was called what the line-ups were and any other info that he feels might be of interest.
  9. Great Find Young Trees. You must have been about 6 when that was shown. Lee was fined by Martin Rogers for that non-appearance then Cyril Crane overturned it and the fine was suspended. Shame the feeling of going to Speedway back in those days couldn't be bottled.
  10. Talking of TV deals. I seem to recall back in the 70s (could have been early 80s). Anglia TV covered a few meetings around the region. Ipswich Kings Lynn Mildenhall. Don't think they were shown live though. Seem to think it was a young Steve Ryder presenting. Anyone remember this ? And why?
  11. I wonder whether Clubs In Speedway really ever exploit the advertising opportunities that live TV Coverage offers ? I agree 3k is a joke. I am sure as Philip Rising alludes to there can be no one better at getting the Sport more money than Terry Russell. In fact Im surprised he doesn't use him to negotiate his advertising revenue with the likes of the Grand Prix tour company who take over his magazine for a week. Maybe he could get a deal closer to rate card costs.
  12. Shame with all these top businessmen/Promoters in the Sport that a couple of those don't have the skills to get a reduced package with a new provider.
  13. No not usual in Sport, however in a Sport that is on the bones of its ass it could be suggested that the % that Russell takes out is more needed staying in the Sport rather than in his back pocket. Maybe you disagree ?
  14. Shame someone in the BSPA hasn't got the ability to do the deal, Instead of much needed revenue going outside of the sport.
  15. Russell is an excellent negotiator. Is he on a fixed fee with the BSPA or a % ?
  16. Love my trips over to the Showground, whenever time allows. However that line-up thus far is not making me think I must get over there more. Looks very bland to say the least. What On earth is the hang up with Ully and Lambert ? Loyalty is a very special thing but surely not at the detriment of your business. I don't see those 2 as bums on seats attractions, in fact quite the reverse. Still Im only there a few times a season, so who am I too judge.
  17. Seem To recall a few years back a certain Jason Doyle wasn't to happy with Rosco and Swindon. Yet last season saw him win the play-offs with that self same team. Chris Folder not so happy with Ford at Poole a short while back. Lets see where he is riding next season. PPF your witness.
  18. That has put a smile on my face this cold morning. Looks Like you have your answer there Forever Blue, and some.
  19. Roscoe was in the press claiming he was unhappy that he had to get rid of either Doyle or Morris. In the next breath he is saying despite winning the League the club made a loss. I wonder which 2 riders were the biggest earners. Roscoe really does come out with em. Will Buster really be prepared to pay World Champion rates to Doyle ? Unless Brundle has found a big sponsor to cover some of the cost.
  20. You don't win Speedway races driving a Merc lol
  21. Sounds very much like Porsing is done with the UK. Sad that he didn't adapt to any track ( bar one). A few years back I recall him blasting around Saddlebow to a Max ( cant remember if it was 12 or 15 pointer). Really thought on the back of that he was really going somewhere. Sad to him slip away in this Country at Lynn and Peterborough. Though I would suggest those 2 tracks are as close to Polish tracks as you will find in this Country. Wish the boy well and hope he makes a decent living for himself in Poland, Denmark and Sweden.
  22. Shame Porsing isn't coming back. Certainly had the potential, just never seemed to quite crack it. What would you put it down to DWP ?
  23. Maybe Mark could come back again JC. Can't see Roger chucking 40k at it. Now or before Not like the days when JC was there and they had 3, yes 3 main Sponsors. People mentioned a 6 figure sum with Money Centre, Banham and Jark all onboard. Happy days
