Poole V Belle Vue Bt Sports 26/6/17
Debbi replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
"As for the track yes its bumpy. Has been for a while. Its called home advantage and one of the reasons I believe Its not removed." Really try telling that to a rider who has problems with a head/neck injury that still rode the track but left in an ambulance. Astounding really that as a tv spectator it was obvious that Hans was dazed let alone him admitting he couldn't turn his head, even IF it was Hans choice to continue, the management should not have allowed him to race- thought this would be the team most aware of the possible outcomes of this type of injury. -

What idiot tries to open the pit gate when there is an injured rider laid against it FFS! No wonder KK kicked at it! -
Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016
Debbi replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Has found two sponges in the two fuel tanks that he used at Cardiff, has asked if anybody wants to talk to him as they were not put there by him or his team! Kelvin says this would have caused problems Chris says he doesn't think so and doesn't buy it calling it "sponge bob gate", this could be one to watch, either way someone has put it in the tank! -
Leicester V Coventry 9th May 2015
Debbi replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Taken from Bjarne's website: - Bjarne Pedersen has decided to stop his english season in Leicester Lions. - The decision was easy, but I am sad that I dissapoint the club and the supporters. I have to think about myself and the rest of the season, tells Bjarne. - All the way I have been in good dialogue with Leicester, and I informed them five weeks ago, so that they could find a substitution, says BP. So who is telling the truth Bjarne 5 weeks notice or Leicester only a couple of days? -

That's exactly what I thought when it was first mentioned - Kenny wouldn't have a chance! -

Debbi replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Quick question does the silly gardening at the tapes whilst still on a bike still exist? If so why has nobody told the riders or ref at Lynn? -
Didn't stop him last year in the restaurant and bar of the hotel in daugavpils, he was staying in the same hotel as the travel plus group! It was commented on then that he was in the bar 'til 2 in the morning!

I keep reading about Darcy being young and living half a world away from home - diddums! He made the choice to come to the uk & race here, as have numerous other young Aussies do they keep getting into trouble? Darcy knows the terms and conditions of racing be it an fim event or domestic racing. He had a choice when he had a drink last night & his actions should and will have consequences. It's not just other riders he could have put in danger there are medics and marshals etc.

We all get bad news it's how you deal with it. Tai had a really tough time losing his dad but wasn't caught under the influence. Emil went to Bydgoszcz knowing he may never get to see his father again (sadly proved to be correct) did he turn up to the gp over the limit - no he used it to fire him up and win the gp! Enough excuses Darcy, is a grown up and sadly makes the wrong decisions regularly. If I was a sponsor I would be pi$$ed at him being in the press yet again for the wrong reasons!

Charlie Gjedde Comeback ?
Debbi replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If i remember correctly, he broke several vertebra and some of them were quite nasty hence the long period of recovery -
Reading his thread it appears that a lot of people are assuming that it's Lewis' profession that is causing his illness, has he stated that himself anywhere? If not could it not be life outside of the sport that could be affecting him? I have known other riders & friends that have hit bad times in their careers and unfortunately they have had to seek help from medics/psychiatrists/psychologists to get them through, but it was also things away from work that contributed to their situation. They didn't want to go public with their fights and that's their choice but Lewis may have felt that part of his recovery is admitting that he is ill and hopefully this is the stepping stone that he needed. However whether he's pulling a wheelie or not is neither here nor there depression manifests itself in many different ways and can never be pigeon holed!

As I said read Emil's fan Facebook page (depending on which translator you use) but certainly not a very positive article. -

Interesting reading on Emil''s Facebook - suggests from reading the translation his decision is made! -
Interesting reading the Speedway GP site, Emil was owed over £1million Zloty approx £200,000 for this year! Is it any wonder that the Polish clubs have problems with money if one rider is earning that much? Plus he hadn't ridden the full season due to injury. It makes you realise why a lot of the riders won't come over here!

Parken Gp 2013
Debbi replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I happen to think you are wrong but you opinion is valid as this is a discussion forum! Where the hell could Emil go exactly even if he had shut off the way Zagar was "shutting the door" or as I see it taking him to the fence, Emil would still have gone down. Right or wrong it's AJ that you have to feel for fingers crossed he's not badly injured. Does Zagar get fined for mouthing to the camera that the ref is a ******* idiot?! -
Gorzow Gp Saturday 15th June 2013
Debbi replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As I said put the rider introduction on repeat - they used them at the start of the meeting!! - if I were there I think I'd want to throttle the guy and I don't mean the bike type either! ;0 -

Could somebody please please please lock the idiot that commentates the reruns in a room with the rider intro's on repeat until he can say their names correctly! Starting to really p*** me off! -
Very Disappointed With.....
Debbi replied to Cornishman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My friends and I said exactly the same, I assumed there would be something before the parade then when we saw the bikes on track we thought the riders would be standing next to them for a minutes reflection, just could not believe that there was no mention of Lee other than the t-shirts. We have that bloody awful singer in the interval when this could have been filled with a short film of Lees career it would have been a lot more appreciated than the singer was! -

I kind of find the argument that there didn't need to be a minutes silence because it had been done in the GP straight after Rico's death ridiculous. Lakeside held a minutes silence in their first meeting following the crash but I am sure everyone would expect to observe a minutes silence at the meeting in September (okay I know it is a meeting in his memory but its still the case). We honour minute's silence's for years on some occasions, is one minute of either silence or noise really to hard to build into the GP schedule? It could have been done before the riders went on parade so that it wasn't part of the main event, but it would have been appreciated by so many. I think it was a missed opportunity for British speedway. This is the biggest speedway event on the calendar in the UK where fans from all over the world attend whilst there was stuff in the program they also said that they "would honour Rico tonight" as far as I am concerned that didn't happen. -
Have to say this was my first visit to Terenzano, you have to walk a mile (quite literally) from where the coach is allowed to park! There was minimal merchandise very few food stands and nothing else - it really did not seem very fan friendly. The atmosphere was non-existent it was that bad that even the Polish fans were quiet - I have never seen that before! I couldn't believe how empty the stadium was, but having seen the meeting I understand why! Think I had more dust in my shoes than the track had on it, there was a clear blue line around the bends. The bonus was that we were far enough away from tatum and pearson not to have them screaming down our ears unlike the poor victims in the next section to us - they were stood in front of the refs box out in the open. I felt sorry for Vaculik from where we were sat it was obvious either he, Emil or both were not going to get round the first bend they were elbowing at the start before the tapes even went up and then just angled at each other would have rather seen all 4 back but hey thats racing. It was nice to see Jarek at the track. The only reason I would go back to this track is if Travel Plus go back to Lake Bled that made the whole weekend for me, otherwise I would not go anywhere this track again!

Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups
Debbi replied to Ben Alderton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No problem, just wanted to say there are a few riders that no them as the sisters and Ales and Lukas both are aware of this and its origin. It was well known at Oxford, and Johno has certainly referred to them as the sisters in commentary on Sky before this meeting, and Julia Bradbury asked the boys about it in an interview when she did the channel 4 program (shows how long ago that was!). So Tai's comment may have not been meant the way some on here have taken it! -
Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups
Debbi replied to Ben Alderton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Just to clarify, when the Drymls first came to the UK they were riding at Oxford. Our captain the loveable Johno (whom Tai has spent a lot of time with)christened them the Dryml sisters and this has stuck as both the team and fans referred to them by this, it was not in malace but typically Johno! -
World Under 17 Meeting Sweden 9.7.11
Debbi replied to Debbi's topic in International World of Speedway
Would be interested to know what Phil thought of Bradley, I saw him at the Rye House training day and he looked v good and v talented (although it was only one person on the track at a time). He had a couple of spills getting used to the track but each time he kept the bike going and jumped straight back on it.
