All this querying regarding run-offs - does no-one remember the night of Gollob getting decked by Boyce at Hackney. At the end of the meeting Gollob had to have a race-off with Henka Gustafsson for the final qualifying place, which Henka duly won, much to the delight of pretty much the whole stadium. The rules relating to the run-offs have been placed on various threads. Rico

Thanks to a very kind donation of £20 from 2 very good friends of the Pugwash variety the final total is now a nice round £200. Big thanks to Mama for organising this trip and big thanks also to everyone on board who made it an enjoyable day out. Special thanks to the Bydgoszcz lad who entertained us on our last hour of the return journey. I don't think I've ever had quite such a surreal conversation. I'll make this clear, here and now, that I will not be hanging around his school gates on my next trip to Bydgoszcz. I have received confirmation that the bus is now booked for the trip and will depart from Sportowa street outside the main grandstand of Polonia Stadium at 12.30 on the Sunday. We should get to Ostrow in good time and have time to have a look around the city centre (no I'm not doing a guided tour !). From memory the stadium is about a 15 minute walk from the main square. Official opening of the meeting at 18:30, 1st heat at 19:00 The programme from this meeting will be special (OK Rico - as for Polish "tradition") - 80 pages, A4 format - better and bigger than the programmes from Polish SGP rounds and SWC race off and final in Leszno; it will be kind of "compendium" about the U-21 finals (also history) - of course some info about this year finalists with pictures made by Mike Patrick, Jarek Pabijan, Piotr Kin, Maciej Paw³owski and Jens Ohlsson; pictures of U-21 finals' rostrums (with Polish medalists); pictures of the first pages of all U-21 finals' programmes (1977-2006) with the results of those finals. The tickets will be also special - 210x105mm format - with information about this year final, about Ostrów city, about Ostrów speedway club and of course about sponsors
