Having witnessed a Leszno v Zielona Gora derby first hand there is indeed a bit of needle there. However I do believe that Zielona Gora's real rivals are Gorzow but they aren't competing in the same league this season. Another consideration could be Tarnow and Rzeszow, who I believe had an interesting encounter last season. To be honest FF (especially if you are taking the Mrs) then some of these might just be a bit too feisty. Either that or your lady has balls Rico

The bus will transpire CedarMan - I expect to have full costings etc by the end of May. I really don't fancy getting the train to Ostrow on the Sunday and the only way of making sure I get myself there is by making sure the bus is sorted out. As I've said before I'll be making arrangements with our Polish friends regarding the bus on the Wroclaw trip and I expect them to come back to me with confirmation of the bus and costs by the end of May, if not quicker (no pressure MK ) I'll send everyone who has said they were going an e-mail with full details once I have confirmation from the bus company. There's no rush to buy the tickets for the stadium just now (unless of course you want specific reserved seats), but I just wanted to point out that they were available - I understand you being wary of buying the tickets without confirmation of your transport, but be assured it will happen. Tickets for the World Under 21 final at Ostrow can now be purchased via e-ticket.pl. Entrance is excellent value at under £5 per adult for normal seats, but more expensive numbered seating is available. Hopefully more info to follow regarding the bus after we've met up with our Polish friends in Wroclaw. Rico

There will be a few of our Polish friends coming along as well, Mateusz and Mama for sure and probably a few more, so looks like we'll be needing a big bus. When I'm in Wroclaw I'll be finalising plans with our Polish friends and then asking for some sort of deposit payment as I don't want to be losing money by getting this thing off the ground. Just thought I'd see if anyone else was still staying in Bydgoszcz on the Sunday night that wanted to go to the U21s. The day after the Bydgoszcz GP is the World Under 21 final in Ostrow. I have been advised that this is around a 3 hour road-trip from Bydgoszcz, so thought it might be worthwhile seeing if any other members are interested in the trip, if a bus could be arranged. The train is possible, but the times are obviously a bit less flexible and it actually takes a bit longer. The bus would depart from central Bydgoszcz probably around 11am (depending on the start-time of the meeting) and return to Bydgoszcz after the meeting on the Sunday evening. I'm just looking for rough numbers just now if people would be interested, then I'll look at the feasibility of getting a bus sorted out, with the help of Mateusz. Stadium is a tram ride from the city centre (check previous threads for the numbers - 17 is one of them I'm fairly certain.) - takes about 15 minutes from the centre. If it's the same as previous years practice starts at 1500hrs local time. Allow yourself 15 minutes from the tram stop to actually getting intot the stadium. You should be ok picking your tickets up as long as you have the numbers to hand and some ID. The tickets are collected just at the entrance to the complex, across the road from the tram stop. Rico

The Under 21 Meeting is on the 12th at Rye House, the day of the GP in Wroclaw. I hope they've got lots of spare fencing for that meeting as some of the foreign riders will be in for a shock It's a shame that there are no league fixtures after either of the GPs in Poland this year, though there is the World Under 21 Final in Ostrow the day after Bydgoszcz. Looks unlikely SJW as there are 3 of us going and it'd be a bit pricey staying there as the room rate is quite expensive now. Current shout is the Mercure Panorama, which is a good bit cheaper, but obviously nowhere near the quality of the Radisson. We'll doubtless be found around the main square between the hours of 7pm and 5am, so I'm sure you'll see us there. Rico

Got an e-mail through today confirming that the tickets are now available through e-ticket.pl. No early discount this year by the look of things, but still can't complain at the prices. We will be on the backstraight in Seating (3-6 & 16-18) where it's 100zl, around £17 at current exchange rates. Rico

Well, given the poor time of the Bydgoszcz flights, our party of 3 has elected to go on an old skool trip, making our first Warsaw in 2 years. Arrive in the capital on Thursday, have a quiet night there before heading over to Bydgoszcz on the Friday. Happy days. Rico

Not a good move imo. There are too many potential flaws in the scoring system. An extreme example would be Rider A could score 7 points in the meeting, finish second in his semi-final and win the final netting 15 points and 'winning' the GP. (7 + 2 + 6). Whereas Rider B could score 15 points in the main meeting, win the semi final and finish second behind Rider A, finish second in the Grand Prix, yet score 22 points (15 + 3 + 4). I don't see how a GP winner can receive less points than the rider who finished second. I am not sure what the reasoning behind changing the points system is, it certainly won't produce a closer World Championship if last years form is anything to go by. I think extra points for semi-final losers isn't a bad thing, but to 'win' the GP you should be expect to walk away with the most points as well. Rico
