  1. Dzien dobry Champion How about we settle on 'pub'. Translating tools can struggle with words with more than one meaning (as can humans ) Rico
  2. To jest czas iść do zagrodzenia Is that better Champion ? We look forward to welcoming you to the UK next year. Some of us might even try and converse to you in your native tongue. Rico
  3. Nie ma za co Richtea Sometimes the British sense of humour doesn't translate too well. I thought you were joking but with this medium sometimes it is difficult to tell. Anyway, get your ass out to Poland at some point. Rico
  4. I'm learning . . Not sure what you've just said but just found an interesting one especially after too much piwo ! Przepraszam, gdzie jest toaleta? Means 'very good' Papa B I use your closing phrase quite frequently out there - that should be in most peoples vocabulary for a trip out to Polska. Rico
  5. Saturday night we have traditionally ended up going to Chesterfields, a club underneath the City Hotel. Usually quite lively and a good laugh. Always bump into Andrzej Kowalski and his entourage in there for some banter. Check the Polrail site for train times on the Sunday. I'd imagine the Torun v Tarnow match will start around 1700 and finish by about 1900. Bear in mind it's a fair trek from the train station to the speedway and you'll need taxis both ways - very reasonably priced usually. Rico
  6. If only I thought that your post was clever and meant as a wind-up. Sadly I think you genuinely mean what you say. <shakes head> Either you need to wake up and smell the coffee or I need given some strength. Rico
  7. Point 1 Why on earth should everyone learn English ??? The world would be a duller place for it. Point 2 Get over your experience from Prague - the chip on your shoulder must really be getting you down as you've been carrying it around so long. Personally I cannot wait to get to Bydgoszcz and soak up the atmosphere in the stadium. As you can see from the comments on the thread so far from those going this is THE GP of the season, best racing normally, best atmosphere and best result (GO TOMEK !). Let us get on with enjoying our anticipation of our trek to the speedway Mecca that is Bydgoszcz. Rico
  8. 1. Andreas Jonnson - been knocking on the door, if he doesn't win this one I think he will win one of the following 2 at Krsko or Bydgoszcz 2. Leigh Adams - make or break time for Leigh. Imho he must finish ahead of Crump to keep the pressure on. 3. Nicki Pedersen - current champ to put in a good show 4. Ryan Sullivan - he needs to get his act together in the GPs Rico
  9. And well said Diamonds_Are_Forever. Fed up with crap from the 'head up ar$e' crew. My hands are sore from sitting on them so much and not sniping them down. Rico
  10. Well there's 7 Monarchs fans in our group, 4 in yours Stevie. Make sure you make it to the Brda on the Friday - there were two Tiggers in there last year and we must rule the roost. Rico
  11. And some of them can even spoil your photographs eh Wackie Rico
  12. Couldn't agree more wilburforce. BBC have part of their site dedicated to providing the basics for all the European countries and it can be found here. Not everyone in the world speaks English believe it or not Rico
  13. Tomek will be devastated when I pass him this news, wilburforce but at least you and your hubby know the coast is clear of the that particular menace. You didn't seem THAT drunk and credit where it's due, you did outstay your other half. Should be another cracking weekend anyway. Looking forward to it greatly. Rico
  14. This years itinerary is flying Stansted to Warsaw on the Thursday morning, an evening in Warsaw, then getting the train up to Bydgoszcz on the Friday morning. An afternoon of sunbathing and a couple of beers at practice would appear to be the order of the day. Sunday we are supposed to be getting a train to Berlin, but I do fancy seeing the Torun - Tarnow match and all the stars involved. We've already booked and paid for accomodation in Berlin for the Sunday night though. I think we are in Berlin until the Tuesday. Julie and Jonny will be there, but there travel arrangements are a bit different. Not sure when they are likely to pitch up in Bydgoszcz, but it will be on the Friday. There are also a few other Edinburgh fans going over I believe. btw I just experienced my first Air Polonia flights at the weekend - no major problems occurred. Rico
  15. Sadly no Tomek in our party this year - saving Londoners lives is taking up too much of his spare time. He is managing to squeeze a weekend to Krakow in a couple of weeks time that I will be joining him on. Speedway is merely an excuse to go out to Poland and have a good time. Who are you heading out with this year Papa B, same crew ? Rico
  16. Last year a few of us met up in the bar at the Hotel Brda - I was going to suggest something similar this year for starters on the Friday evening. I'm sure Papa B will confirm a fine evening was had by one and all Rico
  17. World Championship Grand Final (I think that's what it's called) Last ever qualifier for the GP Series, top 2 go automatically into the GP Series next year. There's a list of riders in the meeting here Invitation or qualify from the previous years standings after this year. Rico
  18. That's assuming my liver is still operating - I've got 2 weekends out there in the next three weeks before I can think about Bydgoszcz - praise be to Wizzair and Air Polonia ! Really looking forward to Bydgoszcz again though - can't beat it ! Any other forum peeps going over try and make it to the Brda hotel bar on the Friday night - last year was a great night. I'll remember to post something to that effect nearer the time. Rico
  19. Well done on getting the order right tonight Lanzilla I trust you will notice that my final prediction was made before the start of the competition though. Anyway 14,22,37,45,48,49 And the bonus will be 6 ! Rico
  20. As a man once said to me Tomek Gollob Tomek !! This household is celebrating big time after justice was carried out in the last heat. The Poles thoroughly deserved to go through and the Aussies can have no excuses - beaten by two better teams on the night. Saturday will be just as close I reckon - should be a classic. Rico
  21. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together ) Rico
  22. Sullivan I reckon. I'm sure you must be missing a big smiley emoticon there. Drop Poole's highest averaged rider for a meeting round his recently adopted home track ?? If Sheilds struggles as badly as has been suggested around Poole, then I'd be tempted to bring in Boyce or Schlein - a big ask for either rider, but a challenge I'm sure both would relish. They could always go for Lyons I suppose - plenty of experience on that track this year Rico
  23. 1. Sweden 2. Denmark 3. Team GB 4. Poland What no Aussies ?? Rico
  24. Martin, Sectors B & C are benches - there is no standing area as such, but that depends on who is around you I guess. Sector A & the Main Stand (Trybuna) have numbered seats, which are reserved. Rico
