  1. I think the world cup meeting has proven once again tonight that although Harris is struggling badly in the gp's this year, Britain doesn't have anyone better. He was by far our best rider tonight. Personally I don't think GB should have a rider in the 2013 gp series, I'd much rather see someone like Darcy or Vaculik come in. But if there does have to be a British rider, Bomber is still number 1
  2. There has to be a British rider IMO. Sky will loose too many viewers if not. Personally I want to see riders like darcy in there full time and nationality not be an issue but it won't happen. And as for which British rider, I still think bomber is the best bet we've got. Yes he had a shocker last week and generally has struggled all season, but he did finish 6th overall last year and proved in the gp previous to last week that if there is grip on the track he is as good as anyone. Tai deserves another chance in the future, but not for another year IMO. And as much as I'd love to see Ben Barker in there and believe he would cause a few shocks, I don't think he will do as well as bomber
  3. For Torun i'll go for: AJ 7 Bjerre 7 Wildcard 7 Lindback 5 Cheers
  4. Maybe they were wearing English flags because they were supporting the English riders... Just because they are riding for team GB, doesn't mean they stop being English. In sure if there were any Welsh/Scottish/Irish riders worthy of a place there would be plenty of Welsh/Scottish/Irish flags too. What a strange post
  5. Gave Middlo the benefit of the doubt on Monday, and yes he can only work with the riders available, but what on earth is he thinking putting our joker ride against Emil? Absolute clown.
  6. Why? 6 out of 9 isn't exactly bad on your debut! Sorry if I've missed an explanation somewhere but why no Artem if his brother is ok to ride?...
  7. Ben scored in 3 rides what British champion Scott scored in 5 (including a double points ride) How has that not justified his selection?
  8. Not just that. With the other incident as well it wasn't a very enjoyable experience this year. And I'd hardly say that is 'a bit nasty'. If it moves to august then I probably can't make it anyway so it's irrelevant really
  9. Oh, also we had some brummies sat behind us too, father and young teenage son, shouting for Nicki to "put Holder in the effing ambulance" throughout the final. I thought it was just his son to start with but he was just as bad. All makes me not want to bother again to be honest, which is a shame after 7 years of going
  10. Surely it's first come first served. If the Poles got in there at 3 to get the flag up, why should this guy come in at 4.45 and cover it up / rip it off?
  11. It took us a good few minutes to find one around lunch time. The 'official merchandise and programmes' stand didn't have any. We eventually found them in the ticket office at the front of the stadium. What's the point in having the stands, all sign written advertising programmes, and then not having them on sale?
  12. Well we had a Polish couple sat behind us. They got into the stadium nice and early, politely asked me to let them through to put their flag over the edge of the tier and went back to their seats to enjoy the meeting. About 10 minutes before the meeting started a seemingly innocent father came in and sat next to us with his wife and daughter. He then decided to put his Cornish flag over the top of the polish one, covering it up. The Polish guy came over and, again quite politely, asked him to move the flag. The English man then began shouting at the polish guy about how he's paid for the privilege of front row seats (which are the same price) and his flag should be allowed to stay. He then started saying how his flag deserved to be there more, simply because it's 'the Cornish flag mate'. No other reason, just that. He then proceeded to rip the polish flag from the banister. So I was quite pleased when the polish girl came over and whacked him People can moan all they like about the Poles but when the British fans behave like that we can hardly blame them for getting a but carried away sometimes!
  13. Crump Holder Lindgren Lindback Aces and Pirates
  14. Mine have had an 'attempted delivery' by dx secure. Rather annoying as I can't go and collect them from the post office like normal and have to rearrange delivery now
  15. For Prague I'll go for: Gollob 9 Lindgren 7 Harris 5 Wild Card 3
  16. Only just seen this. I'll have: Hampel Bjerre Lindgren Wildcard
  17. Maybe, but he still comfortably beat Tai. Pretty much sums up Tai's right to be there doesn't it
  18. Seriously?! What are they thinking?! They might as well open the gates at 4.50 this year then
  19. Good to see Holder back at the track already, confirming that his arm is ok
  20. Have to agree unfortunately. As much as I'd like it to be a turning point, I fear that on the bigger tracks bomber will continue to scrape into semi's at best. Hopefully he can put in another performance at cardiff though. If every track was a man made track like last night and cardiff he'd probably be a genuine title contender
  21. Yeh but the field is quite spread so i doubt 7 will be enough to get through tonight. And he's 4 behind Nicki on the match bets already
