Adam Allott returns as skipper, full story www.buxtonhitmen.co

Press release coming soon for the next member of the 2011 line-up.

Although we would love to have Nick back it isn't practical with him riding PL at Glasgow as he would miss every home match at Buxton.
-
Lewis has indeed retired.
-
You might be but we aren't
-
The averages are as of the start of the season, if the rider meets all the criteria at the start then that is fine. Royno will be fine regardless of what happens in the PL as he is under 25 but Cooper is not so my understanding is if he gets a PL spot then he wouldnt be allowed to continue in the NL.
-
As Malcolm has stated though a PL rider with an average of 5 or below can also ride in the NL although this is subject to the rider being under 25.
-
Albert, I'm not Malcolm but I can answer your question. Any rider with a PL of 6 or below may ride in the NL providing they are not in a PL 1-7. There are no reductions in averages in the NL, the PL average is just doubled less the 2.5% discount.

Craig Cook went from an unknown 3 pointer to a 9+ number 1 in the same season, winning the NLRC along the way in 2009

Ben Taylor returns to take the number 1 racejacket in 2011 for the Hitmen - full story www.buxtonhitmen.co

I meant teams only declare their 1-7 to the BSPA. Number 8's will be nominated as necessary if a team is using r/r from a listing of 3pt riders (details were in speedway star last week).
-
There are no official number 8 this year.

John McPhail lines up at reserve for the Hitmen in 2011 - full story at www.buxtonhitmen.co.

Not sure why you've knocked 2.5% off those averages but it is wrong. If you are thinking of the 2.5% British reduction then it only applies to Roynon's PL average. The averages on the BSPA website are the October green sheets not the final ones.
-
No, the PL and EL are professional leagues and as such you cannot ride in those leagues on a tier 5 visa.
-
Officially there is a pay scale of £10 per point.
-
Not my understanding of the regulations but I may be wrong. To qualify for a work permit(tier 2 I think?) as a professional sportsperson you do have to meet certain criteria regarding standards but this does not apply to the tier 5 youth mobility visa which is for young people and for a maximum of two years. However, the NL is now for British riders or those with ancestery only as it was in the days of the CL.

From the BSPA website : SPEEDWAY'S third tier will have a minimum of eight clubs competing next season. And there is a possibility that number could be up to 10 when the deadline for membership passes next Monday, January 31. Stoke Potters have been accepted into the league after switching from the Premier League and there's an exciting new venture featuring the famous old Hackney Hawks sharing Rye House and Lakeside as a home base. Of last season's clubs Mildenhall, Weymouth and Bournemouth will not be racing. The points limit for team building purposes has been set at 40. Further details, including the final National League line-up and competition format, will be released next Tuesday, February 1.

Not sure where you get that from. There was an end of season meeting in November and the AGM is in December.

Buxton V Newport 31/10 - Sunday Start Time

Suggest you have another look at the league table. As for a weakend Newport team think you will find Buxton weren't at full strength either but at the end of the day any team can only beat what is put in front of them. -

Have another look you have to add both L columns together: Dudley 4+1 =5 Buxton 0+4 = 4

The meeting will go ahead if at all possible. At the moment there are no problems with the track and the forecast is for showers but that changes day to day. Edit: Just checked another site and they are forecasting light rain from 5pm so fingers crossed.
