Would hazard a guess at a 7pt Dane. Nicklas Porsing or Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen?
-
We made the wrong decision in showing him Armadale on the Friday night, he then jumped on the first flight home on the Saturday! Enough said

I would imagine they would insist on a full transfer Greg, due to the nature of our takeover and to still have some debt hanging over us. But is there are a market out there for the full transfer of any rider? nevermind Josh Grajczonek.
-
Josh Grajczonek has just posted on facebook that he has spoken to the new tigers promotion and has let them know he will be moving on for a fresh start next year. It was decided quite amicably but I think we all saw that coming

Be prepared for the doom and gloom from this post! I really can't see Mason staying next season, through some suggestive comments on social media (which I dont have a problem with, its Mason's opinion after all), I get the feeling that he really wants be down south where there is a strong aussie contingent aswell as his mates. If he does choose to leave, I would insist on a full transfer to whichever club he wants to go to, might aswell cash in while we can. Mason has been one of the only bright spots this season, however I hope im proved wrong and that he can stay! David Bellego? I am one of David's biggest fans, but it kills me to say that I dont think we will see him back at Glasgow any time soon. Despite the fact that the registration issue hasnt been sorted yet, he has a good thing going on down at Berwick and he is equally loved down there as he is up here. So if push came to shove, I think David would choose Berwick over Glasgow, which is a great shame for us, as he is one of the most spectacular riders ever seen around Ashfield. He is the reason people go to speedway. Nick wont be back as I think he could start featuring regularly in Poland next season, after an impressive trial with Bydgoszcz, aswell as featuring in EL, so there is another asset I would sell, probably get the most amount of value for him. Josh needs to move on for his own good, and I think thats something all the Glasgow fans will acknowledge. And I think Josh knows this himself, whether it be to an EL team or another PL team I really wouldnt mind. Through injuries he has never had a clean run to totally prove himself, watching him at Glasgow every week is soul destroying as he has so much potential and its being wasted on our track. He has done his time with us, time to move on. The Rye House fans seem to have taken an affinity to Josh the last couple of weeks through his guest bookings, I genuinely think that would be a great move for Josh if he were to go there. I think he could establish himself as an out and out heatleader down there, something his career needs at this point and time. A springboard if you will, onto better things. James? Back in a heartbeat every day of the week. He is Mr Glasgow Speedway now. A legend in this part of the world who is still holding a pretty good 7.54 average! Comes up with the big heats time and time again. Would definately have him back, but would he want to come back? is it time to hang up the kevlars? only time will tell! Joe Screen? A contentious issue for me im afraid. There is no doubting that Joe Screen is the most naturally gifted and talented speedway rider to grace the Red and White since Shane Parker. However the curtain is coming down on his career, and although he is still posting an impressive 9.25 average, I cant help but think that it is boosted by the rolling average factor from last season. For me, Joe is still suspect away from home and goes missing when he doesnt make the gate, both home and away I might add. Obviously this is a bad season for everyone at Glasgow Speedway, but I dont see the hunger and desire from Joe that we all seen last year. Still a fantastic captain and ambassador for the sport and club, but its a big chunk out of our average for a heatleader with a low away average. Henning Bager? A breath of fresh air since coming back home. 100% effort on the track and he is that solid rider that every team needs in the engine room, his gating and team riding skills make him a brilliant asset for the team and is on a good average for next season. His enthusiasm is contagious in the pits and in the terraces, looks delighted when he has a good race and boosts morale when he does "The Bager". Definately want him back next season. So onto my team for next year. Might raise some eye brows! .. 1.Ryan Fisher 2.5.00 aussie. 3.Henning Bager 4.Christian Henry 5.James Grieves 6.Mason Campton 7.Micky Dyer

Ditto! -
Ben Barker smashed the Glasgow track record today in heat 1. Setting a time of 58.3 seconds. The old track record of 60.1 was broken 4 times today, this track is only going to get faster the more it beds in! Barker was immense in heat 1, awsome to watch!

Danish News 2011
Van Helsing replied to www.speedwayzone.dk's topic in International World of Speedway
Mikkel B once again showing why, along with Liglad, he is one of the hotest danish prospects. He must have something if such a global brand like Red Bull have decided to back him . Both lads are going to be hits if they ever come over to GB to race. Michelsen was unlucky not to qualify, very dissapointed according to his Facebook, but he has plenty of chances left, and is no doubt going to be a star aswell. Once again impressed with Palm Toft and his result at Glumso, especially if he did break the Track Record Niklas Porsing will be dissapointed though, especially after his performance last week. -
Could you please forward me a copy of your preview to scottdavid8317@hotmail.com
I am very much looking forward to reading it!

Looks like ive found my NL team to support this year! Excellent signing in Stefan Nielsen, known in Denmark as "Mini Crump" due to his colour scheme and hair The kid has a future in the sport, very level headed and takes alot on board when ur talking to him. Should be a success with the Saints this year.

That its, at the end of the day, im taking the word of a sponsor, I cant comment on the working relationship or the ins and outs of contracts between Kevin Doolan and the Kings Lynn Promotion, but the initial thoughts coming through are that they havent reached a deal and Kevin is looking elsewhere, with Workington and Redcar the favs to get him. Who knows, Lynn might go back in with another offer! Just need to wait till its cut and dry with official PRs
-
Heard it from one of his former sponsors in the Workington area.
-
There might be another Darcy Ward heading to Norfolk next season, but im afraid Kevin Doolan wont be! I have heard that him and Kings Lynn couldnt reach a deal and he has been looking elsewhere to ride next season. Redcar and Workington are the current favs.

Newcastle Diamonds V Glasgow Tigers
Van Helsing replied to Tsunami's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Glasgow fans dont have a problem with Kevin, YH5-1. Our only beef with him is that he keeps missing his visits to Ashfield for continental commitments! Now if it was one of your other riders, lets just say of american persuassion. Could you imagine the uproar lmao. -
Swc Event 2, King's Lynn, 26/7
Van Helsing replied to Bagpuss's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well even if Jonsson doesnt ride Merve, they can still keep Lindback and pray he has a better night around a more "familiar" kind of track. They might want to field Thomas H Jonasson, Peter Ljung or David Ruud in Nermarks place too, That makes them much stronger imo. After his performance tonight, I just wouldnt trust him around Vojens! As for the Aussies, I really cant see Sullivan being interested and I cant see Crump being fit. Boyce MIGHT be able to temp Adams out of retirement for one meeting, just to see them through to the final. Put it this way, if the Aussies field the same team as they did tonight. I cant see them beating the Swedes or Danes. Just a bit gutted that Sayfutdinov is still injured, as he was excellent around Vojens all year last year. SWC and Danish League. He was superbly backed up by the rest of the Russian team last year too! They might be the spoilers for sure.
