  1. Russia are going to get even stronger in the coming years, which is going to force out alot of fringe teams like Czech Republic and Finland. And maybe even Britain if we arent careful. Just wait until Vadim Tarasenko hits the scene for the Russians! And possibly even Maksims Bogdanovs! if he chooses to follow in the footsteps of Artem and Grigory Laguta and ride for Russia. Russia could potentially have Sayfutdinov, Gafurov, Tarasenko, Bogdanovs, Laguta Brothers, Gizatullin and Povazhny to choose from in the next few years! The continuing growth and influence of Sayfutdinov means that the Russians are inevitably going to get better equipment, more track time and more youngsters wanting to race. Like Tarasenko.
  2. Agreed, if the Swedes get Jonsson back, they could potentially line up like Jonsson, Lindgren, Zorro, Davidsson, Lindback/THJ/Ruud. Thats mighty strong imo and should see them qualify alongside the Danes. Cant see the Aussies doing anything unless they managed to get Crump/Adams/Sullivan to ride.
  3. Tyson Nelson is already in the UK, Davidba. He was spotted on Sky on Monday night at Wolverhampton. Along with family friend and mentor, Mitch Shirra. Must be a massive bonus being able to come over to Britain, get in a few second halves and practice time before going to the U21 meet in Poland. Michael Penfold is coming over to ride for the Glasgow Tigers asap. He was tracked by us during the winter (Aussie Summer!). We made a move and got him signed up along with young Nick Morris. It was orginally thought that Michael would be coming over in June or July sometime to do second halves and get experience before slotting into the team for 2011. But then Robert Ksiezak sustained severe knee injuries in a crash at Berwick. Which ruled him out for the season, the Glasgow promotion felt confident enough to fast track Michael's team place to May this year Once again its exiting to see all these new young Aussies come over to Britain, they dont half brighten up the place! Hopefully they can do the same on track too! As there just seems to be an endless conveyor belt of talent coming out from down under! P.S as far as I know, Sam Masters is also riding in this qualifier meeting. So Tyson isnt alone when it comes to representing Australia!
  4. Dont worry Dirt. Chrissy automatically dismisses anyone that is talented and cant ride Armadale to their full ability. Even though Darcy scored 11 there on his second visit
  5. Fantastic night's entertainment from Bydgoszcz once again. We are blessed with this live stream stuff. Allows us to watch and experience racing at the mecca of speedway! where others in a distant past wouldnt of had the chance! Hopefully Polonia can do Torun in the second leg!
  6. Excellent team riding from AJ there in heat 15. Talking about Dudek ... he is doing the business in the Gorzow V FZG play off ... 3,3,1,0 for him so far. Not bad.
  7. Quite impressed by young Wozniak there. Alot of good young poles coming along now. The man to watch is Przemyslaw Pawlicki!
  8. Ward does it again!!!!!!!!!! AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!! How does the boy do it?? I've already ran out of superlatives for him and i've only been following him since March! Cracking entertainment tonight. Really do love watching Polish Speedway.
  9. Another cracking race with AJ and Sully there. Sully rolling back the years!
  10. Fantastic stuff from lindback there .... the track maybe slick according to the riders .... but that was one hell of a dirt line!!! Btw ... if anyone else is like me and likes to see a scorecard for online meetings. Here is the live updates for this meeting. Polonia Bydgoszcz Vs Unibax Torun Live Updates
  11. Heat 19 :o WOW! What a race!! Congratulations Tomasz Gollob Polish Champion 2009! 8x Individual Polish Champion
  12. Ouch! Very sore crash between Damian Balinski and Karol Zabik, ambulances on track
  13. Looks like it could be between Gollob, Kasprzak and Skornicki. Cmon Tomasz!
  14. I think she is doing a great job. She has actively went out her way to learn all about the sport. She obviously reads the SpeedwayStar as she can pull out some facts about rider's performances during the week in other places, injuries etc Plus she can pronounce the foreign riders names!. She has a good rapport with the riders and manages to ask the right questions at the right time, giving the rider a chance to reply and give as an insight into behind the scenes. Even though she looked like a duck out of water in her first few meetings. She quickly picked it up and is now doing a great job! Sky have actually done pretty well with the last two presenters. Both have been knowledgable about the sport, asked the right questions and were easy on the eye All the critics on here never change ... must take a hell of a lot to please you!
  15. Looks like Josh and Glasgow have been dooped then
  16. Michael Max explained at the meeting yesterday. As Josh was originally and always going to be part of the main team ... he had to go out for free practice which took place on Sunday, attendance is mandatory as its an official FIM event, just like the GP's and SWC. Mitch was only a reserve so didnt need to go out. Its the way officially run FIM meetings have always worked. If Kozza was riding, he would of had to be at free practice on the sunday too
  17. Updates regarding the crash with Sonke Petersen and Josh Grajczonek .... Josh is up and fine however is machinery is a little worse for wear. Not so good news about Sonke ... according to Polish and German translations ... he claims he cant feel or move his legs and has been immediately airlifted to the nearest hospital. Hopefully it isnt what we all fear as Sonke is a rare and upcoming talent on the continent. Best wishes and thoughts are with Sonke.
  18. Im still trying to work it out too! surely they would be better equipped for such a meeting?
  19. Thanks Kev thats a great start mate, cheers!
