  1. He averaged 7.93............and your point is?
  2. Clearly you're not familiar with the rules governing a number eight in the Elite League this year. An Elite League team can nominate a rider who has not previously ridden in this country as their number eight. Kings Lynn chose to nominate Kai Huckenbeck and Lakeside nominated Dennis Jonsson. These riders can replace a rider whose average places them between number two and five in the team and each time Kings Lynn have used Kai, they have implemented this rule, as I'm sure they will continue to do throughout the rest of the season.
  3. No they didn't, he's still listed as their number eight, which he has been all season!
  4. Is it known if the potential signing has ridden in Britain before?
  5. I asked that exact question in the post you quoted SCB
  6. It looks like each team billed it differently.......I very much doubt you'll find the definitive answer.
  7. Valentin Grobauer could certainly be worth sounding out, along with Kenny Wennerstam, Oliver Berntzon, Kenni Nissen and Michal Skurla................assuming they haven't already :/
  8. I agree, but it does seem a strange decision. Barker would be the perfect replacement for Garrity at the moment, but even Barker has gone public saying that Coventry don't intend to use him. Why? Has he seriously upset the promotion? It's no secret he's seriously upset a few people over the years, but if the Coventry promoters are included in that, why sign him in the first place? Can anyone shine any light?
  9. In simple terms, a club house should make you money and a number one rider will cost you money.
  10. And equally, your adoration of the guy puts you in the same boat. If they can't find the money for equipment, where do you think they'll find the money for (what I guess you mean) substantial incentives.......you really are your own worst enemy !!!
  11. Oh come on, why single him out......everyone does!!! And they have every right to!!!
  12. This is maybe something that could be addressed by sponsorship in a similar way that football's Premier League operates? If, and it's a big if, a substantial sponsor could be found, the finances from that are proportioned according to final league positions. In that way, far greater financial rewards are to be found in the higher league, which negates the higher operating costs. On the other side of the coin, a team who find themselves relegated may lose some fans, and therefore income, but the lower operating costs could allow them to survive and try to regain their top division status.
  13. http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/pl16_issue_18.pdf This suggests they have :/
  14. Ipswich finished 11th in 1969 in British League Division Two as it was known at the time.
  15. If that is the case, I assume he now pays his admission fee and is entitled to voice his opinion?
  16. Seriously then, expand and remind........please.
  17. That wouldn't have been many then would it
  18. I certainly can't disagree with a word of that, but call me a romantic if you like, I still hold out hope that one day it may return.
  19. Of course not, but if they can't take a gamble when riding against the weakest team in the league, it's not going to happen is it? The rule was introduced to reduce the number of guests, and for that reason I fully supported it.....at the time, Jon Cook did too! Maybe there should be no option to use a guest, and teams should be forced to name a number eight, and when circumstances dictate, use him?
  20. Rye House have named George Hunter as their number 8, so logically it should be him?
  21. The #8 can step in to replace any rider from 2 to 5 I believe, and as you say, Dennis' average is assessed, so he could well outscore that. He needs to gain experience to aid his own development, and to benefit the club in the future. Kim's average around Lakeside is irrelevant really as the meeting in question was at Leicester. Kim's average at that track in 2016 is 11.00, so whoever replaces him will have a tough job on their hands, but I believe that for the reasons already stated and one less use of the guest rule, this is the way Lakeside should have gone.
  22. Why isn't Dennis Jonsson replacing Kim, I thought that's what #8's were for?
