With the decline of GP riders in the British Leagues, why not? There's only likely to be five GP riders representing British teams. Even teams with GP riders could plan around the series if they put some effort into it, and ride on alternate Saturdays to the GP.....there are rumoured to be only 9 European GP's in 2016 which would leave many Saturdays free.

Another signing to be announced in the next few days, but it won't be Matej Kus or Thomas Jorgensen. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/speedway/redcar-bears-rider-matej-kus-10413054

Chris has completed 10 seasons as a Bee and had spells at Belle Vue and Birmingham in between. A testimonial is awarded for 10 years service, therefore I see no reason he has to stay at Coventry next year for his meeting to be honoured.

Speedway From An Outsiders View .
KevH replied to speedibee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I agree, it's a very interesting view. League promoters would do well to read this and pick up on the points the author was impressed by and try to incorporate them into their local tracks. It's also worth noting that GP racing has very simple, straightforward rules which a newcomer can easily understand....something which should also be the case in league racing! -
In my opinion the two race nights need to be on consecutive days with teams riding at home one night and away the next. If there's a day or days between the race nights, some riders will fly to the continent and race there in between negating any benefits to rider schedules or finances. Alun Rossiter has already indicated that Fridays are the intended race night, therefore if the compromise of two race nights is reached, Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday seem the most logical conclusion.

There are strong suggestions on the Newcastle thread that Lewis Kerr and Lewis Rose have been confirmed, but until official word is given, I guess they are just suggestions?

The ones assuming he's coming back, or the ones hinting he won't be?

No that far away......Cambridge.

Surely that should involve trying to get the best riders in the world to race on a regular basis?

Steve Worrall is confirmed as being back at Belle Vue on the Aces' Twitter account. -
Steve Worrall has been confirmed as a 2016 Ace.

Lakeside have announced three signings so far and Coventry only two. How can you possibly judge the strength of teams when only around 30% of the riders are known?
-
Let's hope you're an unhappy Bee next year then Both Bech and Lawson could and should be increasing their averages and piling up the points for the Hammers in 2016.........given the motivation and encouragement that wasn't forthcoming from the current incumbent of the position of Lakeside Team Manager.
-
Yes, and the stadium owners are............Dugard seniors !!!
-
It's my opinion that the biggest problem at Lakeside is the team managers inability to motivate his riders and his bizarre choice of riders for Heat 15 on many occasions. Let's hope this issue is addressed before sweeping changes are made to the team.

This idea has been tried before, but apart from a couple of 'shock' results, notably from Workington, failed owing to the 'top league' teams being far superior to the 'second league'. We now have evolved into two leagues which are arguably separated by one 'international class' rider, so is the time right to re-introduce this competition? Potentially we could have Plymouth v Poole, Somerset v Swindon or Workington v Belle Vue.......clearly doubling up riders could cause an issue, but it could also pave the way to abolishing that crazy rule (in my opinion). Thoughts.........
