So the Monarchs are safe at Armadale for the foreseeable future?

A few years ago I seem to remember that Sainsburys had bought/were intending to buy the Armadale site and the Monarchs were looking for an alternative venue. Could someone please bring me up to date with this?

That's not entirely true about Canterbury though, is it? Fair enough, a certain local resident did his level best to get the club closed over many seasons without success.....but the downfall of the Crusaders was more about naievity from the promotion regarding renewal of their planning permission for the 1988 season, and sponsorship money being used for purposes other than intended......allegedly !!

The Speedway Star is today reporting that Sheffield are about to sign a rider new to British Speedway, so that rules out most of the suggestions above. Any clues as to who it may be?

Does anyone know the race format for this meeting? It has been stated it is a four team tournament with teams of five riders, one of which is a reserve. It would seem to lend itself to the SWC format.......can anyone confirm please?
