I drove past Kingsmead this afternoon and noticed that construction work has begun on the site. Not sure what's being built to be honest, but I guess it's the first stage of work on a casino/hotel which I saw mentioned recently in a local paper. Shazzy, it seems not even a lottery win will see the old dream come true now mate. As you well know, there's thousands of happy memories being bulldozed into history and you just can't help getting a lump in your throat and a little tear forming. Somehow, all the time the site was there it seemed there was always some hope, maybe a real long-shot, but a chance. The words of that song keep running through my head, "If I could turn back time".
