  1. But SGP suits older, more consistant and experienced riders, especially with so many rounds, those who have a comprehensive back up team, loads of sponsorship etc ......................... it's no wonder the youngsters can't compete!
  2. That's the truth Sube, white lining it every inch of the way haha, Jan sure knew the shortest way round every track ................... Makes me laugh though that they let Olsen do what he does to the tracks especially Bydgoszcz, you'd think they'd want the GPs to be classic meetings!
  3. Oh dear it seems like the GP organisers need these young riders more than the young riders need the GP series
  4. I hope IMG are taking on all costs this time round then, are they??
  5. Jan bloomin Andersson, Mr # Name Removed # himself, he was my husband's favourite rider at the time, couldn't stand his style lol No just one among many really. Most fans don't go for the GP they go for the social interaction of it all anyways, would be interesting to see how many attended if the Millennium Stadium wasn't in the middle of Cardiff haha
  6. Again Bydgoszcz not as good as it could have been. But who cares, obviously not the organisers!
  7. Another entertaining meeting by the looks of it, well done to the aussie boys ......... all square! ps Can Lynn have one of these meetings next season please
  8. And Kozza Smith! Good luck to the brit boys, keep up the good work!!!!
  9. Sounds like a real entertaining meeting, can Lynn have one next season please
  10. Chris has made all the right moves to suit him and his career so far (and he'll ride for Lynn one day of course hehe) so if this is his decision regarding the GPs he's probably right again
  11. That was my thought when the GPs first started 100%, that over 6 or so GPs a true, consistant world champ would come out on top. BUT at the same time the GPs take away the chances of a young, talented rider to have a blast, leave the old boys in his wake and become world champion early in his career. Now with 11 of the bleeding rounds I can't EVER see speedway hailing a 20 year old world champion again like we did on that wonderful night in 1980 And nobody would deny that Michael Lee deserved the crown that night, what a rider he was! Of course the FIM felt this was the way for speedway to go after all those years, I thought they were right to start with, now I don't, the meetings are no longer special and that is sad! Then there is the issue of where the money made from the world championship goes but that's another story!
  12. Trouble is you've still, at the end of the day, got 11 GP rounds with near enough the same riders for the season, of course it's repetative especially when the vastly experienced ones rise to the top each time ................ too much of a good thing! You'll never get a raw youngster becoming world champion again cos they'll never hold it together over all the rounds, the 30 somethings will always get the title.
  13. Funny you say that cos I was gonna say summat about all these energy drinks being gross but didn't like to poopoo Hancock sponsor haha ............... I guess it's like medicine, you have to put up with the taste for the good it does you
  14. What, the deal is get it mentioned 20 times per GP is it
  15. Owwwww a run off would completely mess up the tv schedules, deary me!
  16. Well sounds as if he'd put up with a bit of struggling given the chance haha ............... good luck to him, hope he doesn't spread himself too thin though!
  17. But not worth watching so far, turned it off!
  18. The swedish clubs could do something similar to what was done over here in GB with riders racing a meeting for free raising money to buy the airfences! I always thought the fans would dip into their pockets to finance them too ............................. I certainly would!
  19. hehehe, don't forget it could get worse still unless the FIM step in!
  20. Of course, but he might be given a berth anyways, would he take it, surely he would?
  21. If IMG think he'll be good for business then in he will go .......................
  22. Errrrrrrr I would have thought his Dad will just continue to play a big part in Tai's career, he's so young anyway there is no need to rush into anything?? I think SKY are just helping their viewing figs (and Tai I guess) and also speedway so whenever he's billed now people will simply HAVE to watch cos he's on the box or riding in a meeting?
  23. If this is true then what does he expect ................. he can't expect the british fans to support him if he isn't being professional and he can't expect to be the best. Bloody good job they weren't tested for alcohol then!!
