  1. The 3rd round of the Dutch Speedway championship today in Veenoord got called off because of the rain. Such a shame because the club is only allowed to run 2 speedway meetings per year on that place so there is no chance on a rerun there. Good news is that Blijham is going to stage another round of the Dutch championship later this year, on 11 september.

Spend 4 days in hospital and got my legged pinned. Out for the rest of the season sadly.
  3. 250cc... The 125cc Youth Gold Trophy has already been ridden in Saint Macaire (France) on the 18th of June, winner was Dutch rider Romano Hummel.
  4. well today was the 3rd round of the DSF Club Championship (6 rounds) in Lelystad. Excellent weather and track held up quite well. Sadly not alot riders, which is a real shame. In my opinion every KNMV licensed rider have to race a few of these meetings. Just to keep the club (financialy) and the sport a live. Anyway, see below for the results. Seniors: 1. Wim Kennis 2. Jesper Veldhuizen 3. Jack Drenthe Nationals: 1. Robert-Jan Bangma 2. Nico Eijbergen 3. Kevin Glorie 4. Glenn Haex
  5. Thanks for posting the results, saves me the work haha. Was a good meeting. Lots of passing and close racing. Not a very big crowd (300-400 people I think) though. David Bellego should do well in the PL, quality rider and super fast. He arrived late in Zolder because he had to do a grasstrack meeting in soutern France on the evening before, so he did 4 practice laps in the pooring rain just before the meeting and already made a super impression.

The club decided to use the small track instead of the long one (see google maps to understand what I mean) which was cool .

  14. Yeah I agree with you there. Nico and the club did a great job with putting together another awesome meeting, I was realy impressed with them getting Max Dilger contracted for just a Belgian 'Open' meeting, awesome . I like it when they put riders like him in my class because you learn alot from them . See you in June and in September .
  15. Ahh I do know now; Randy Oldenziel was supposed to represent Holland in Gustrow but he as no engines for speedway. Apparently no other Dutch rider was able to take his spot.
  16. I don't know mate . Lars Zandvliet has also dropped out of the Krsko GP quali today.
  17. That's right, there are some changes in the lineup because there will be no riders from Holland, Belgium and only 1 rider from Italy instead of two. 1. Kai Huckenbeck 2. Ashley Morris 3. Oskar Feijfer 4. Piotr Pawlicki 5. Michele Castagna 6. Szymon Wozniak 7. David Bellego 8. Brendan Johnson 9. Danny Maaßen 10. Kacper Gomólski 11. Roman Ceijka 12. Andre Mochner 13. 18. Results from the Belgian championship: 1. Max Dilger (D) 15 2. Henry van der Steen (NL) 14 3. Michell Hoffmann (D) 12 4. Maik Hoffmann (D) 11 5. Benoit Lorenzon (F) 9 6. Jez Pestell (GB) 8 7. Jesper Veldhuizen (NL) 3 15. Jack Drenthe (NL) 2 16. Nick Lourens (NL) dns Semi-final 1: 1. Max Dilger (D) 2. Maik Hoffmann (D) 3. Benoit Lorenzon (F) 4. Steve Jones (GB) Semi-final 2: 1. Henry van der Steen (NL) 2. Michell Hoffmann (D) 3. Wim Kennis ( 4. Jez Pestell (GB) Final: 1. Max Dilger (D) 2. Henry van der Steen (NL) 3. Michell Hoffmann (D) 4. Maik Hoffmann (D) Rider of the meeting was ofcourse Max Dilger. He was absolutly flying and nobody had a single chance to his man. This also created some talking that a rider like Max shouldn't be racing in this meeting (too good). The Polish rider, Mateusz Borowicz, also did very well. He did quite impress me, I was told this was only his 3 meeting. Did crash hard in his last, in the wooden fence, but stood up and was okay. Danish rider Thomas Sorensen was the unluckly rider of the day, 2 flat tires. The track wasn't very cool, it was very very hard and slick. If you mess up your gate you are no where. Which was a shame because there wasn't any overtaking. Very good to see that there was a big crowd once again!
  19. Lol thats even worse Haha I deleted it because it had some spelling errors in it and I hate that 'edited' thing under the message lol . So I wanted to post it again .
  20. Shame that both Dutch riders didn't rode in this meeting...
  21. German star Max Dilger is the new 2011 champion, full results later.
  22. The Blijham club is very busy with getting the track 'safe' before the 15th of may. The track is currently boarded by a metal fence, now they are putting a layer of rubber on it and that will do according to the KNMV as airfences are still not compulsory in Holland. Photo's: http://speedway.org/renntermine/2011/blijham/index.html
  23. It was pronounced as the Belgian open championship a few months ago but it's now changed to the 'Open Helzold Championship'. So I'm not sure if it's a official Belgian championship or just a open meeting.
  24. Next week will be the first meeting in Belgium, lineup: 1) Michell Hoffmann (D) 2) Robert-Jan Bangma (NL) 3) Kevin Teager (GB) 4) Nick Lourens (NL) 5) Mateusz Borowicz (PL) 6) Lars Zandvliet (NL) 7) Wim Kennis (BEL) 8) Jesper Veldhuizen (NL) 9) Jez Pestell (GB) 10) Benoit Lorenzon (F) 11) Andy Braithwaite (GB) 12) Sascha Stumpe (D) 13) Steve Jones (GB) 14) Thomas Sörensen (DK) 15) Randy Oldenziel (NL) 16) Bernd Dinklage (D) National class: 17) Bert Berckmans (BEL) 18) Roberto Slot (NL) 19) Matthias Flick (D) 20) Jack Drenthe (NL) 21) Maik Hoffmann (D) Rookies-classic class: 22) Kristof Ceusters (BEL) 23) Rob Eding (NL) 24) Mike van der Maas (NL) 25) Henk de Jonge (NL) 26) Jarig Bangma (NL) 27) Willy Kennis (BEL)
