The second round of the 250cc Youth Gold Trophy was held yesterday on the Czech track Plzen. After the first round in Gorican on april 8 it was clear that the championship would end with a exciting end with both Michael Hartel (Germany) and Eduard Krcmar (CZ) ending on 15 points (quite dodgy format). Hartel scored another 15 point maximum in Plzen and became the 2012 champion with 30 points in total. Eduard Krcmar crashed out in his third race, but won his other fout heats. This was more then enough to secure the second place with 27 points. The third (and fourth) place in the championship went suprisingly to France with Dmitri Berge ending on 20 points and Jordan Dubernard on 18 points. Great Britain was only represented with one rider. Nathan Greaves came 8th in Gorican but he didn't race in Plzen. It's a shame that he was the only GB rider, by the looks of it there are quite a few British 250cc riders. Think it gotta do something with the money part as the riders won't be paid in these meetings. Overall standings: 1. Michael Hartel GER 30 2. Eduard Krcmar CZ 27 3. Dimitri Berge FRA 20 4. Michal Prucha CZ 18 5. Jordan Dubernard FRA 18 6. Philipp Schmuttermayer GER 17 7. Michaela Krupickova CZ 14 8. Onno Rykena GER 13 9. Giorgio Trentin ITA 12 10. Daniel Spiller GER 11 11. I just got back aswell after a long drive back to NL. Awesome weekend in Croatia, already looking forward to the challenge in September. Just a tip for the people that will attend the challenge; on the day after (sunday) there will be a big meeting in Mureck (Austria), only 90 minutes from Gorican. They will stage the 4th (and last) final of the 2012 European Championship.

Any info on the logistic part of these meetings in Vladivostok? The riders will just fly I suppose, but what about the gear? As this track is at the east side of China and the rest are all in western Russia.
