  1. Brandon and Wimborne Rd are similar tracks as had been proven that we ride well round there like they ride well down here. Kennett is flying at the moment and showed he would be much better suited than Howe as he proved last night with a maximum and Howe couldn't beat Swist. Also has Howe ridden at Coventry this season? So please take off your Midlands tinted specs off.
  2. Thank god your not Middlo. Matching an 8 point rider with a 4 point rider is bordering on the insane level. Each to their own I suppose. Let the rest of the argueing commence....
  3. Like cricket, your just going to have to accept the Scottish are not good enough at this sport to compete. Looks worse then the Latvian team.
  4. I have a feeling this topic may go on for a while. Personally I have a lot of belief that the England (or the UK ) can once again reach the final with some of the form certain riders are showing this year. I have a lot of respect for Middlo who has boosted us onto the rostrum in the last couple of years with weaker squads then most and he will have another tough decision to make this year with his picking. So...who would you choose? On current form, I would personally pick: Nicholls Harris Stead Kennett Richardson With Howe, Screen and Norris on standby.
  5. Actually this is one of the best prediction's I have seen so far. Now all you need to do is swap Hancock and Adams around and you may have something there.
  6. I would be very surprised if anyone predicted the right order from 1- 15 but my stab in the dark would be: 1. Crump 2. N. Pedersen 3. Andersen 4. Hampel 5. Hancock 6. Jonsson 7. Adams 8. Nicholls 9. B Pedersen 10. Gollob 11. Zagar 12. Lindback 13. Holta 14. Jagus 15. Harris
  7. Interesting topic. I couldn't see a speedway GP in any of those stadiums due to politics and polava and the only place it would be IMO would be in Johannesberg or Capetown as they do actually ride a South African championship. Other countries that should stage it in the future could be Russia, U.S and possibly somewhere closer to home like France or Germany. An idea to ideal countries to do speedway would be to take a leaf out of Moto GP'S book.
  8. Hans Andersen will likely go through anyway as a wild card along with probably the riders who finish 9-11 in the GP series which hopefully should include Hampel, Lindback and Zagar as the top of the sport needs young riders. The WC rule in each GP is a waste of time and offers nothing except taking points and places off riders who have deserved to be in the GP so that rule should be abolished. Notice a few people on here said Pepe and Kolodziej should be put in as a wildcard and I thought theyve got to be joking as they need to stand in line behind Kasprzak first. Anyway should be a interesting meeting for the neutrals and I will be hoping that Bomber, Stead and Howe qualify but I think its more likely to be Holta, Karlsson and Andersen with maybe a spoiler getting in amongst it
  9. I agree that Smith has been hard done by and is unlucky, but honestly we need to look to the future of British Speedway. Smudger isnt going to have a chance of finishing in the top ten of the GP in five years time and he certainly isnt a class enough act like Per Olav Serenius is on ice. Middlo has done the right thing in sending out a young english rider and even if he goes out in the next round at least thats more experience against classier opposition for him and he can learn to sharpen his elbows. As for Lanham, I would have liked to have seen him given a go at this level just too see where he really stands on the world scene, but as has been said he is mainly a one track pony, but I think if he were to change clubs, score well and repeat his success in the final next year, he really should warrant a chance to qualify for the GP. Not sure if Kennett is the right rider, but he was in the British Final and he's young which is the main thing and I would hope we could get rid of these ridiculous seedings in the British Final because really only 4-5 should be seeded and I think they should be Nicholls, Loram, Stead, Harris and possibly Screen with the rest like Richardson, Kennett etc being seeded into semis, with perhaps less experience riders starting it all off in quarter finals, so at least were giving all British riders young and old a half chance to get into the Britsh Final with a possible chance to the road to the GP circus.
  10. It would be nice to go just to watch Andy Smith walk it with a 15 point maximum but unfortunately I wouldnt make it.
  11. Surely though someone like Kramer, Zetterstrom or even Gustafsson are going better then Ruud.
  12. I think it will be: 1 Rickardsson 2 Crump 3 N Pedersen 4 Hancock 5 B Pedersen 6 Adams 7 Nicholls 8 Hampel 9 Jonsson 10 Gollob 11 Lindback 12 Zagar 13 Richardson 14 Protasiewicz 15 Iversen
  13. I can remember when test matches used be to so popular. Now its just a meanlineness fixture that gets in the way of riders taking a day off from their hectic league schedules or the GP series. Well at least we can see who has the best fourth and fifth bikes etc.
  14. Hans Anderson at 14s yet, Bjarne Pedersen 50-1. Who in gods green grass put that in. Id put an each way on Mr Unpredictable Gollob. But I think Tony will win.
  15. Just wondered if anyone could eithr tell me or point me in the direction of a site to tell me the 2004 Under 21 World Final results, please. Much appreciated.
