  1. Any other suggestions then? No point using Allen. Rides their every week and scored 5 last night. Maybe we should put in Boxall who got 6.
  2. So far Middlo has picked all the right riders for the job. Kennett was picked because riders like Howe and Allen can't even qualify from GP QR QF. As for Stead, he is lucky to have more experience abroad and he can overtake better than the other two. A shame Howe getting injured but Olly is the right replacement. Spot on again for Middlo and it's no wonder the riders have so much respect for him, though it's obvious certain baised fans don't.
  3. 'held in front of a record crowd of 41,247' Just found this on the article fullnoise.com. And who said British Speedway was losing fans.
  4. Brilliant Bomber Brilliant and on home turf. You will be in this morning's papers for sure. Loramski would have been proud with that passing.
  5. I can't believe the majority of the Brits have been eliminated already at this early stage. There are as many Slovenians that are through. Great performance from Richard Hall who you might have guessed would have shone if the track was similar to his home track where its a wind on the throttle job. I suppose Bridger and King did ok but both would be kicking themselves as there are riders who finished ahead who they could have easily beaten in the UK. As for David Howe, that was disgusting. Second in the British Final and wild card in the GP and can't even qualify for the semis just shows he struggles on foreign shale and getting beaten by PL riders is unacceptable. And people say he should be in the WTC squad as a definite starter?? Kennett would have finished top 3 with ease. Hopefully Steady and Olly will make amends where they should both have a good to fair chance of qualifying.
  6. Or though I don't like him and think he is bad for the sport I think the winner will be: N Pedersen from Adams Andersen Crump
  7. Is there anywhere where I can find, the current averages for the riders in the top 2 polish leagues. Cheers
  8. Matej Ferjan is now representing Hungary? I think the fourth qf looks the most tricky and I think only Stead and Howe will be our only qualifiers.
  9. Well done Eddy and Lewis on going through to the final. Also well done to Holder for winning. A shame for Cuppasoup and Klindt pulling out of the meeting.
  10. Good luck to Eddy and Troy tomorrow and praying Troy doesn't get injured any worse.
  11. The problem is with Richard300n, he is far too inconsistent and you never know if he is going to get 3 wins or 3 zero, plus he ain't no spring chicken anymore. I would put him at reserve as a Shawn Moran.
  12. After this British Final result, I think this now changes the complexion of the line-up. I argued before that Kennett should get the 5th team place ahead of Howe and Allen and behind Harris, Nicholls, Stead and Richardson. Well now I am thinking maybe we should drop Richardson because he is too up and down and give the youngsters more of a chance since they competed so well at the British Final, so my line up at Coventry would now be; Harris Nicholls Kennett Howe Allen Reserves Stead Bridger King
  13. To my knowledge, Lewis struggles on really big tracks but isn't Vojens a similar size to Poole, which is a track he rides really well.
  14. I think the Brits in the first semi will be a lot happier with their draw then the second semi which IMO looks tougher, although tbh I have a limited scope on this subject. I was a betting man, the 8 that would go through from each would be: Vojens Kennett Risager Klindt Pavlic Batchelor Wolbert Holder Bridger Daugvapils Zabik Buckzowoski Saifutdinov Jonasson Ivanov Hleb Tomicek Kling or Woffinden
  15. Walasek was riding in the GP on and off back then anyway. As for Krzyzaniak and Wilson, to be fair both teams lacked depth at that time unlike now.
  16. TBF regarding my first post, I hadn't actually thought of Olly Allen but I think he should be involved, even if its helping Eddy with his set-up.
  17. Except you have got Howe instead of Kennett, even though Kennett ................................................................................ ....................................................... can't be asked to go through this all again. We just agree to disagree. Anyway the post was aimed more at certain Peas fans who think Allen should be in the team.
  18. My thoughts exactly. To put it another way, if it was hosted at Poole would the Poles pick Piotr Swist even though he has a super average around Poole and knows the track. No, they wouldn't. Exactly the same scenario with Olly. Reserve at best.
  19. Come around? I would pick neither of them if Loram was fit, although I would say Richardson is certainly not guaranteed a spot like Ed or David. If you saw how Ed was riding week in, week out from the last month or so, I am sure anyone including Neil would give him a definate chance and personally I don't think Howe has the mentality to ride confidently enough at this level, where I think Ed who is on a real high has. Time will tell and maybe the only way to settle it is two rides for each.
  20. Not really, but impressed with the effort of trying to convince me. In reponse, I would say Ed's form is currently shooting up and Howe's is slightly faltering and I think scores would be different now on current form and I am sure Ed would score similar, so I would say on averages, they are roughly the same. Olly Allen IMO is not good enough. I'd rather have Norris. Kennett also has the advantage of youth on his side over Howe. We should give more chances of our up and coming riders and I agree that riders like Bridger/Wright should be included in squad set-up. The best way to resolve this IMO for the selection process would be, take the form of riders amd not just in the EL but abroad. See who does what in the British Final(stupidly of course, it not being held at a neutral venue but at Howe's home track ) and pick the best riders for the track and conditions on the day.
  21. You talk absolute rubbish on this matter. It's more like what hasn't Middlo done. I have corrected you before about his great motivational skills and tactics to get the best out of weaker riders. Poole's form has proven it along with previous acheivements by the Brits. Ha...Allen wouldn't have a chance at this moment. Eddie last night finished passed Crump and Bjarne and finished half a straight ahead of them and they were half a straigh ahead of the Wolves riders. Kennett's abroad form is also much better than Howe's or Allen's and he is a rider on high confidence. TBH it would be a travesty and would take only a bonehead to leave him out. His form around this kind of track should ease him ahead of even Stead and Richardson.
