  1. My first thought watching the racing Friday night was that the track rode like a cross between Peterborough & Sheffield. Very quick & plenty of lines, must be a nightmare trying to ride a defensive line on there.
  2. The new announcer, John Doyle, seemed a bit iffy to start with, think he'll be ok. There were some problems with the PA, wonder if there were issues with the link between centre green & box. Take your point that Ken wasn't the same towards the end, it probably was time for a change. Though after 40 years on the BV mic it was lovely to see him at a table overlooking the start/finish line in the Peter Craven Suite enjoying the Colts/Fen Tigers match on Friday night. A gentleman, loves the sport, an Ace through & through.
  3. Fair comment, the guy on the centre green's enthusiastic but his "obviouslys" grate after a while. Think the announcer will be ok, though after hearing Ken all my speedway watching life (since 1980) it seems a bit weird. Friday night really whetted the appetite for when the Aces get on track. With plenty of dirt & watering can't wait to watch the lines Matej Zagar finds on that track, exciting times ahead..
  4. Good post. Connor Mountain was excellent, & unlucky when his chain went in heat 15. Alfie Bowtell solid & Jon Armstrong was great to watch, especially as the dirt went wider later on. Hope (& suspect) that the Colts hierarchy are keeping young Dan Bewley's feet on the ground, praise raining down tonight & deservedly so after an 18 point max. First time I've seen him race live, exciting prospect, seemingly effortless but quick too. Look forward to watching him improve further over the coming months & years. Really enjoyable night, my first taste of NL racing in ages, will definitely be back for more.
  5. Just been reading Kevin Jolly's comments on the Cambridge News website about the switch of dates for the Colts fixtures, very positive, fair play to him. Looking forward to Friday night's match, no idea who would start favourites, especially on a new track. Not familiar with the Fen Tigers side, any rider in particular that Belle Vue fans should look out for on Friday night?
  6. Really struggled with streams, finally got one to work! Have I missed much so far??
  7. Though not a close follower of NL speedway, I'm really looking forward to following the Colts fortunes this season, starting with the visit of Stoke tomorrow night. After previously watching Jason Garrity & Kyle Howarth in Colts fixtures, be interesting to see who, if any, of the current crop might follow in their tyre tracks. Read a lot of positive comments about Dan Bewley, will be fun to watch his progress as the season goes on. No idea what the score might be, but after all the dramas surrounding the track let's just hope there's a healthy turnout to back both teams & get speedway in 2016 here in Manchester up & running.
  8. Nasty incident in heat 4, fair play to the guy in blue for avoiding the stricken rider.
  9. Hi all, I'm on the http://www.telewizjada.net/live.php?cid=38 link, working fine for me too. Weather set fair in Leszno, some quality racing ahead I'm sure.
  10. Cookie didn't start last season too great for the Aces either, got better as the season went on & was flying by the season's end. Expect similar this season as finds rhythm & confidence. Lack of meetings not helping him. Matej Zagar nowhere near his best at the moment, anyone who watches the Polish meetings will have seen that. Expect him to be much sharper once the GP Series gets going. No excuses, congrats to the Robins on deserved win. As for the Aces we'll be fine - having our track up & running would definitely help though.
  11. Conditions looking like they will be okay in Poznan, looking forward to this one. Especially interested to see how young Max goes for Rybnik, great experience for him against some quality riders this afternoon.
  12. Suspect you're right CR, if his efforts last night & against the Hammers are anything to go by. I accept Walasek is a bit enigmatic, inconsistent etc but I've watched him a fair few times, both good & bad, but that was unacceptable.
  13. Walasek was grim last night, must have been infuriating for the Lions fans watching that. Though not the heat leader they desperately need, an improvement nevertheless.
  14. Thanks very much R&R. Echo your sentiments about last night's match, very entertaining, heat 13 in particular was some race!
  15. Will be en route to Leicester so gonna miss this match, any idea what time the re-run of this will be on? Thanks in advance..
  16. Coming down to Leicester tomorrow, first time at Beaumont Park so really looking forward to it. After last week's pasting off the Hammers expecting a much stronger showing from the Lions, should be great night's racing. Bookies will have it a convincing away win no doubt, potential banana skin for Lemo's boys??
  17. Quite right BB, & heat 14 was excellent too. Now for the grand finale........
  18. Vintage KK! Where was that form last year?! Great to see imo, Bees fans will be delighted seeing that.
  19. Evening all. I should be at the opening (again) of my beloved Belle Vue's stadium tonight, but sadly not to be. So it's plan B - Leszno v Gorzow on a cracking stream, thanks guys, followed by a trip to the pub! Should be a great match tonight, me thinks a 46-44 win in favour of the away team Stal.
  20. Would love to see Martin Vaculik race regular in the UK one day, whether at my club, or elsewhere, A real exciting racer, have my doubts if it'll ever happen though. Impressed by young Drabik again, looks at home in what's a pretty strong field. Yet another Polish star in the making.
  21. That was a shocker, just relieved Dudek & Kildemand are up & walking back to the pits.
  22. Scott Nicholls' Rzeszow team are having a shocker at Gdansk, 34-8 down after 7 heats!
  23. Good afternoon all. Excellent stream R&R. Sad to see the Bydgoszcz stadium looking so empty! Anyways, hopefully some great racing in store & Bomber to seal a 46-44 win for Krakow.
