  1. Great line-up but still sad to see that there is not one young Scottish rider in the Edinburgh Academy team
  2. Lydd Speedway Update Lydd Speedway will be working towards becoming a fully licensed track. With Try Speedway already confirmed for a training day in early March, and the Sussex Eagles Motorcycle Club also planning to host events, preparations are well underway. A range of different events is currently being considered, with the initial focus on hosting a PIT BIKE competition. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks. Additional events are also planned, including speedway events and other motorcycle activities. As part of ongoing improvements, a safety upgrade will be carried out, including the installation of an air fence, which is scheduled to be fitted this month, weather permitting. What we will be also focusing on is getting the younger kids getting plenty of practice on there Revvi bikes.
  3. Fienhage is a permanent resident in France, but he isn't French. He still has his German passport.
  4. Round 6 of the FIM Flat Track World Championship Series on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at King's Lynn
  5. The Speedway Champions website is really one of the very best for every speedway fan with a sense for the great history of our sport. Highly recommended!
  6. Lots of unknowns in the line-up for the Aussie title this year. So many of the big names are missing. Jack Holder will be the big favorite, with Tungate and Lidsey as his main rivals, I guess. - Alexander Adamson - Reid Battye - Mitchell Cluff - Ben Cook - Zach Cook - Jack Holder - Jacob Hook - Jaimon Lidsey - Mitchell McDiarmid - Jack Morrison - Bradley Page - Keynan Rew - Lachlan Russell - Harryson Ryan - Justin Sedgmen - Rohan Tungate - Dayle Wood - Tate Zischke Jan.3 Wodonga, Victoria Jan.4 Wodonga, Victoria Jan.7 Mildura, Victoria Jan.9 Gillman, South Australia Don't forget it's live on the British Speedway Network https://watch.britishspeedway.co.uk/
  7. Come on, man, your Team GB riders aren't that bad. If all of the top British riders (Lambert, Bewley, Woffy) come to ride in the Test Series against the Aussies, this would be a heck of an event. Perhaps even of interest to a tv station to cover this test series instead of the league. Who knows? Five proper speedway tests over 18 heats with 6-rider teams plus reserves, no gimmicks, that's all it needs. Make Speedway Great Again !
  8. Beau Bailey (knee injury) has withdrawn form the Aussie Championship series Fraser Bowes (shoulder injury) also doubtful
  9. With the Premiership down to just five teams, wouldn't the 2026 season be perfect for Speedway GB to at last bring back a proper 5 Test "Speedway Ashes" Series against the Aussis?
  10. At this time of the year it is not unusual that deliveries take longer than usual. There is a lot of mail before Christmas. It usually gets back to normal service again after the festive season. At least that's how it is over here in Germany.
  11. That was to be expected. To be fair, the World Team looked pretty weak this year with four Polish juniors, Fraser Bowes and Hancock junior.
  12. The USA took on a World team in an unofficial international challenge match at Auburn's Fast Fridays Speedway last night. Does anybody have the results ?
  13. It was won by the Seychelles-German rider Mario Häusl, ahead of Poland's Maksymilian Pawelczak, and Belle Vue's German rider Norick Blödorn.
  14. If rumors from Poland are to be believed WBD wont be involved anymore next year. Apparently they are in the process of selling all the speedway rights. There should be an official announcement coming soon.
  15. Life's tough in the Ukraine, or is it? Judge for Yourself. Here is a video of the Ukrainian championship speedway meeting held at Lviv a fortnight ago.
  16. 33 out of 36 riders for the Golden Helmet are already known: Bednar, Jenicek, Kamenik, Milik, Klima, Macek (CZE) Przem. Pawlicki, Piotr Pawlicki, Jamrog, Chmiel (POL) Brennan, Ellis, Flint (GBR) Doyle, Douglas, Masters (AUS) Mads Hansen, Rasmus Jensen (DEN) Bellego, Berge (FRA) Castagna, Covatti (ITA) Blodorn, Liebmann (GER) Lahti, Berntzon (SWE) Ivacic, Grmek (SLN) Valkovic (SLK) Becker (USA) Magosi (HUN) Parnitskiy (UKR) Pollestad (NOR) plus 1 other GER, DEN, and LAT

  18. I thought the racing wasn't great at Riga last night and the stadium was not even full, even though the capacity there is not much. The racing wasn't great either. Worrying times for the SGP. The final result was good though and thanks to Brady Kurtz the world championship is still open with two rounds at Wroclaw and Vojens still to come.
  19. That was a rather emotionless meeting at Czestochowa, in fact quite boring, in what used to be one of the hot spots of the Ekstraliga. The Ekstraliga this season fails to excite me, and I notice that crowds in the Polish stadia are significantly down this year. I've said it before and I say it again, the total dominance of Motor Lublin, and to a lesser extend Torun and Wroclaw, is doing the league no good.
