SGP RIGA 2025
Bavarian replied to MassMarauder's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I thought the racing wasn't great at Riga last night and the stadium was not even full, even though the capacity there is not much. The racing wasn't great either. Worrying times for the SGP. The final result was good though and thanks to Brady Kurtz the world championship is still open with two rounds at Wroclaw and Vojens still to come. -
That was a rather emotionless meeting at Czestochowa, in fact quite boring, in what used to be one of the hot spots of the Ekstraliga. The Ekstraliga this season fails to excite me, and I notice that crowds in the Polish stadia are significantly down this year. I've said it before and I say it again, the total dominance of Motor Lublin, and to a lesser extend Torun and Wroclaw, is doing the league no good.

International Test Matches
Bavarian replied to Bavarian's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Maybe so, but all of the Aussies and most of the Brits are based in the UK, which would make it fairly easy to run a test series in the summer. Where there's a will, there's always a way! -
International Test Matches
Bavarian replied to Bavarian's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I don't agree that this would be totally one-sided. It coud even be quite a spectacle and a highlight of the UK season! Anyway, it is such a shame we don't get to see a proper GB v Aussie speedway test series. The wait continues. -
2025 FIM Flat Track
Bavarian replied to Bavarian's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
This was a very good race meeting on Saturday. I am more and more impressed with the Flat Trackers. I wonder, could this be the future for speedway/track racing? You can watch Saturday's complete meeting in Croatia re-live with English commentary on YouTube. It was live and free on YouTube on Saturday night. -

any news on Katie Gordon?

Well, seriously,I had a look at her facebook page but it does not mention any racing acitivites of her lately. I wonder is she still active as a speedway rider, and if so, why is she not riding in Croatia? https://www.facebook.com/p/Katie-Gordon-Racing-100057876480625/

Bavarian replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Wow, now that's a surprise. Sad to see USA pull out, but on the other hand its nice to welcome Argentina as brand new nation in the SoN. -
