  1. Thats the new disc jockey, an english lad, who was hired for the entire SGP season, who plays this stuff. I don't like it either.
  2. Having such a massive crowd for what was arguably one of the least attractive league fixtures for Wroclaw this season, says it all.
  3. Dilger must be doubtful. He had an op recently and will hardly be able to ride.
  4. I don't think that Doug Davies is still alive. As far as I recall it, he died in the early 2000s.
  5. Yes there was a gap for Lindgren to go through, and Lampart closed it too late and caused the crash. Bad decision by the ref. This was Lampart's fault.
  6. The Lublin team is very disappointing tonight. Zmarzlik hasn't got a heat win in three rides. He does not ride like a world champion, but Emil Sayfutdinov rides like a world champion ! What a shame that he and Artem Laguta were kicked out of the SGP
  7. Yes, because in a speedway GP it is not only one race, it is five heats, two semis, and a final, and points are there to be scored in each and any of these 23 events.
  8. Celina Liebman rides at number 4 in the German team ! Is this the first time ever that a girl has been nominated for an official national speedway team ?
  9. Australian sidecar speedway legend Warren Monson was killed during a drag bike test and tune event near the town of Bendigo in Victoria on April 23, 2023 https://7news.com.au/sport/motorsport/victoria-s-motor-racing-community-rocked-by-tragedy-as-rider-killed-near-bendigo-during-event-c-10436448
  10. Speedway isn't road racign or motox, we dont have ONE race, we have 23 ! And in every heat the winner gets the most points anyway, 3-2-1-0, just like it should be, so what's wrong with that? With the new point system top riders like Zmarzlik simply don't have to fight for every point during the heats anymore. It shows in the racing, which is not as intensive as used to be when every single point counted.
  11. It used to be a minium length of 450m and up to 1000m long. But to get Poland involved the FIM dropped the minimum length a few years ago, and it is now open for any kind of track, sand, shale or grass and regardless how long or short, which is just ridiculous. They have reduced the number of riders in the world long track championship to only five in a race, which was neccessary because of the smaller tracks such as the Polish venues.
  12. not quite, Rzeszow track is 395m anyway, it is a farce that they race on Polish speedway tracks instead of proper long-tracks.
  13. Yeah, and here in Germany we don't get to see any live speedway on Eurosport at all, it seems. DISCOVERY+ is the only option. In fact, no German TV station is covering any speedway at all. That indicates the status of the sport over here.
  14. it is EUROSPORT so we will probably miss the first round of four heats and be live for the first track preparation break
  15. Will Tom Brennan get there in time? He wanted to ride for Glasgow at Berwick tonight, but I guess that won't be possible now.
  16. Yes, and the British lads will propably have commitments in the UK as well. Really difficult for the organisers. They must hope to push it through on Sunday. If the rule is country before club, then Wroclaw has to go without Bewley tomorrow. They will stil be able to beat Leszno.
  17. I doubt that they would want to postpone the grand final. More likely that they will run the Pardubice round mid-week, on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
  18. Three days of rain and cold weather is forcast for the Landshut region from today, Friday until Sunday. Good to call it off early, and restage it on a Friday night in May!
