Just tried to read that Orlovski but it says "this document is unavailable for viewing at the moment" -should I be suspicious? -

Yes please to Twelve Oaks, as I could ride my bike to Speedway from Lechlade! -
Well done on NRGTV for the live stream but I've got to say that was the most boring Speedway Meeting I've ever seen and the commentators (one -BG?) being billed as Australia's best, did little to improve it despite telling us what a fantastic meeting it was!

Sedgie on the podium today! -
Could he being really ironic and including the name of a Polish Speedway Club (finished last in league 2 in 2014 and now possibly defunct) in his misspelt word? (Opole)

What about Doyle to Swindon and Lindgren to Wolves? -
Me too, although I don't know why you don't use the standard font, it is so much easier to read! Anyway, thanks again, Hagon. There are some really good and to a degree revealing articles about the end of the Abbey in issue number 70 of Backtrack magazine, received today. If you don't get it normally, it might be worth writing to them or telephoning to get your copy. Their email is subs@retro-speedway.com website www.retro-speedway.com and phone number: 01708 734502

OK we were taken for a ride on Sunday and we will be still standing on the Abbey terraces next year. But was it that much of an issue-at the end of the day we got an end of season filler meeting that otherwise wouldn't have happened. We were also there as part of a large crowd which was nice. No big deal-mugged? No. Entertained? Yes. Move on! -
I took some photos of the beautiful sunset over the Abbey on Sunday and thought it rather poignant! Imagine my surprise when I looked at them later to find that they had been tagged as being taken at a location named Holloway Close & Lady Lane. Perhaps Wellie was having the last laugh!
-
At least we are getting some honesty now-if this sort of openness had been forthcoming a few months ago there would have been much less negativity, it has always been the reserved matters re drainage and noise attenuation that were the hold-up on the planning front but now they have come out and confirmed it and we all know where we stand-hallelujah!
-
Consequently it will probably very good racing-which is all that matters on this sad day.

Blimey Orlovski, I normally like your posts and I have to assume that this one was a wind-up!

Quite agree, it was the "he just wasn’t up for it" that really got my goat. The bloke is a total nob (Batchelor that is.) Oh hang on-maybe I meant Rosco-how can he defend an attitude like that from a professional sportsman, let alone your team Captain? Absolutely beyond belief that he was runner up in the Czech Golden Helmet the day before. Perhaps there was a dodgy Czech sausage in there somewhere too. (Mind you they are 'orrible, I can vouch for that as the catering in Pardubice is not wonderful!)
-
At last the justification for Batchelor's performance last night (from the British Speedway promoters Association website):- "I know a lot of people will be quick to get on Troy Batchelor’s back because he had an awful night. He has been blighted by injuries, the track wasn’t to his liking and you could quite clearly see he just wasn’t up for it.” Oh God, does this mean Rosco would consider him again next year?

Bloody lucky to get 36 points in my humble opinion-absolute pants performance. It will be a very small crowd at the abbey next Monday but like the wazzock I am I suppose I'll be there! -
Sandy Lane-but I wouldn't be surprised!
