I'd never seen that before and thought it was just Watters inventing a new rule but I'm probably wrong, as usual. I'm sure someone will let me know! -

Those were a couple of the events I was thinking of. Thanks for your support Orion. -

Awfully sorry I had an opinion and expressed it there! -

Question-why do we always have to have that plank Watters refereeing Swindon v Coventry matches, he always tries to spoil them with his "I'm bigger than the riders attitude." Thankfully, his attempts to scupper Swindon's chances went pop in the end but I would be very grateful if he never refereed another match at the Abbey, old or new! -
Commented what a cracking meeting it was when in attendance last night-great entertainment throughout-I personally thought we were in for a tough match but the top 5 were generally a class apart!

Belle Vue -v- Swindon Monday 17th August
Chalkie replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes but what does POKC actually stand for? I must be missing something (possibly a brain) but I can't work out what it means. Edit: Ooops should have read to the end before asking an obvious question! Thanks Shale Searcher. -
Swindon V Coventry - 13-08-2015
Chalkie replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Actually, thinking about it RR is correct-rent is due once the public are admitted, hence long queues in the rain or a long boring sit in the car watching it and praying for it to stop, if it's dodgy between 6 & 7. -

See post no 60 in Swindon's New Stadium thread, it never rains in posh, leafy Lechlade! -
Swindon's New Stadium
Chalkie replied to remembertheracers's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If we are going to have a new stadium can we have one with a roof, please? Then I can get my fortnightly fix of speedway without having to sit looking out of the window with no rain and no match in prospect because we might get some later! -

This has got nothing to do with saving away fans a wasted trip. If they call it off early, they avoid stadium rent and can stop the foreign riders getting on a plane and thus costing them wasted travel expenses! I am writing this at 1:50pm and still no rain! -

Swindon's New Stadium
Chalkie replied to remembertheracers's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I, for some unfathomable reason, paid a visit to Blunsdon Market today and unless I was looking in totally the wrong place, could see no evidence of any preparation for the new stadium! (Worried of Lechlade.) -
Pleasantly surprised me!

Friggers tells it as it is, as usual-well done, mate!

Should Rosco Still Be Team Gb Manager
Chalkie replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely there was a reason, otherwise it would have been madness and while I agree there is a bit of that about Rosco, I'll leave you to work out why he had to drop Kyle. -
Why oh why hold this behind closed doors? There is precious little Speedway going on this year and I for one would have been interested in watching it. It was so say promoted by Colin Pratt. What's to promote?

At last some league Speedway at the Abbey this Thursday-probably lost the impetus of the £5 entry for the last home meeting but at least us diehards will be there! Any thoughts?

Should've flooded the track!
