Fredrik Lindgren In Aussie Title
Sandie replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
Well maybe those involved with the Linddales Australian Championships should consider funding their young Australians to return home to ride rather than using any funds to bring in Brits, Swedes Poles etc. -

Yep, Bees jacket was on. There was a big group of us by the back windows as you looked out to the now' parked up Aj van' And I think the cheer was started by a fellow member of our group. It wasnt a scream at the awful food being served!! -
It would seem that way. But a friend said recently - dont expect this to be the full list. There may still be one or two additional suprises still to come as the FIM list was still 'provisional'. Curiouser and curiouser

Sandie replied to spuds-r-us's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
So no Peter Oakes at Coventy again!! But we will be, although we would love to have been at this last meeting to give Richard Franklin a big cheer! -
Well apart from Cardiff it looks like I wont be doing anything oveseas as the girls have their own plans next year and it doesnt involve GPs

oops sorry. Automatic thinking when it comes to children!! Prague is easy to arrange. Lots of flights to pick from, try www.skyscanner.com. And then simple google prague hotels. There are lots of threads from last year and years gone by where you can pick up lots of tips. Try the GP threads. Hope I havent traumatised your son too much!

Really depends on how long you are going for and what she likes doing as well as speedway. Prague is a great one as there are touristy things to do as well Whereas Bydgoszcz is all about bars and drinking and not a lot else.

No Russia, No Malaysia, No USA and No Australia. Same as before, nothing to get excited about then

And didnt he look embarrassed when he got such a loud cheer. much to the amusement of some local Germans who all thought we had lost the plot. So, Tone Deaf - where were you sat when he came in. It was only a small Maccy D?! -

I hope they have learnt some lessons as the stadium was great but getting in and the beer thing was terrible. Our entrance was actually closed and we were directed to the next entrance. It was heaving and very slow to get in. Then when you scan your ticket the turnstile moves so quickly it smacks you on the a*se and throws you in. You then have work out, albeit to late for some, that you have to go to the ladies or gents security section to get body checked!! As for getting the tokens - I couldnt be bothered with two queues so in the end they ended up with none of my euro's. But nice stadium and the transport system was spot on. They even had extra trams lined up to ope with the demand. And it was FREE -

Arrived home last night tired but reasonibly happy. A good weekend away but as everyone has said - not the best of racing. Nt sure what was seen on TV but I did enjoy watching the Champions parade before the meeting. I know TV viewers wouldnt have seen it live as Shazzybird was texting me in a complete frenzy. Something about Rugby league being on and she was demanding speedway!!!!! But it was great to see them all and very interesting that the first standing ovation came for Mark Loram . At least that was the way it appeared from where we sat. Numbers were much higher than we were led to believe. Yes there were gaps and of course 1 complete area not used, but overall better than at first thought. Right Said Fred - oh so wrong. Not only due to the lack of knowledge in their music but for the 48 hours of singing - Stand Up for the Champions!!!!! I cant get it out of my head!! And then there was the meeting itself. I thought they tried to get a Cardiff atmosphere going which in my opinion didnt quite work. Strange how the whole stadium lights remained on all the time. I had expected the lights to be dimmed and the track to be bright. And the racing - hmmm - think its all been said And finally..... trip home via Brugge - Yummy!! and Eastenders Booze store at Calais , Im now stocked up but funny the people you meet in a place like that. -

LOL Agree Chivs. Last year I had a number of rooms booked in two locations. (My daughter wanted one hotel, I wanted another) They were organised for our group of friends in order for us to be where we wanted. I didnt randomly book to annoy other people. In the end I ended up with a couple spare. How was I to know people would divorce or have ilness!! But these were offered here on the forum and taken by forum members! This year I have just what I need in the Lodge. My firends have had to fend for themselves. Its a bit like tickets - If you want to be together - 1 person does the booking.
