Didn't see the forces do their bit but I did see some men in camouflage abseil in to the stadium - so the camouflage didn't work . But agreed with comment above - they are our service men and women and it was good to see them there. BUT - we did see the X factor singers who came across as awful. BUT are they awful or is it simply the acoustics of the stadium?

Not where we were! We had about five young welsh children between 7 and 12 next to us and they sang their hearts out for their Welsh anthem. Also Welsh behind us - so they sang loud and proud in our sector. Overall a good meeting - well done Holder, he has shown constant improvement over the GP's and has been fun to watch. A deserved winner. The Public address system was absolutely dire last night. You couldn't understand a word being said. And I'm sure I read somewhere that the fireworks would be the best ever to celebrate 10 years - well, sorry but they were not good at all this year! But great improvements in activities like Fanzone. We didn't attend ourselves but these things are for the kids and I am sure they had a great time. The street was heaving. Overall as a weekend package - a great time with friends from up and down the country and in fact from Poland, Australia and around the world. Quick story - we met a young lady at a tram stop in Torun, she travelled with us to the GP and guided us to the track. I gave her my card and said if you come over to Cardiff call us. SHE DID and that is what Cardiff is all about, meeting up with people who you normally wouldn't get to see. It was a lovely surprise. Oh well - bring on 2011!

What a farce at Togliatti - 1 Latvian 3 Polish 1 Ukranian and 10 Russians! And yes - thats a total of only 15 riders in such an important meeting! This has to be the last FIM meeting there. Totally discriminted all other riders for all sorts of reasons! Of to write same on other thread - until the two are merged!!!

Thanks R & R - and yes, a field farce. I suppose those that go through from Ostrow and Lonigo will be laughing when they see the Russian Juniors that possibly end up in the final!!! Or possibly the runners up in those two meetings will be optimistic that the Russians that qualify may pull out of the final and we get a couple more serious competitors through. And thanks very much for the links.

And that is part of 'the joke'. We really shouldn't be riding where it is so difficult for riders to get too. All qualifiers should have the same chance of competing whichever country their round is in - but those in Russia have faced extra problems and through no fault of their own have been penalised!!!

Hi Mama, Thanks for that but it is in fact a hotel I made enquires with. First they said yes and then they said no. Then I complained and heard nothing more. So obviously they went back to yes without telling me! Also the hotel we are actually staying in has been booked by Becky, so I know that I could cancel this other booking without fear of loosing ALL accomodation! But thanks for that I will remember that for next year. See you tomorrow x

I have just received an e mail asking me to confirm a Torun hotel booking - but its not the hotel we are booked into. So before I cancel it is there anyone that wants a hotel for the Friday and Saturday Night. If interested then call me or message me - here or on Facebook.
