Yes but Phillip Rising has no integrity whatsoever - wasn't he the leading campaigner against the GPs who jumped aboard the gravy train as soon as he could?

Danish Grand Prix

Next weekend, in the GP qualification meeting, although I doubt he'll be riding in the leagues for a while. But, no problem here in England, having a facility, why don't you? -

Obviously Korneliussen isn't Staechmann's blue-eyed boy - Bjerre has had a poor start to the season, Korneliussen a cracking one, but Bjerre's obviously a favourite of Staechmann. Edit: If you read this, young Staechmann, read on, there's an apology a few posts down. -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?

It's a standard Gollob move: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd0y3lU2x4g Watch as he exits the 4th turn on lap 1. -

Yes, but the commentator and so-called expert should know also, otherwise what is the point? -

Okay, it was a former British champion. -

Ah that was just a bit of chauvinism from Steele, or didn't you notice the nationality of the rider involved? -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?

Well, we've all seen Gollob switch direction going down a straight, usually no one gets collected and it's hailed as being an outrageously brilliant manoeuvre. He's one of the few riders with the ability to get away with it. I often think one of his biggest problems is that he doesn't realise that not everyone has the sort of ability that he has. Andreas Jonsson is one of the few who come close and yet he got collected. But, realistically, the default setting of referees like Steele is to take the easiest option, so it wasn't a surprise to see Gollob in the re-run. -
Hard Racing Or Dirty Riding?

Gollob has always ridden some fairly unconventional lines around speedway tracks, so I wouldn't say it was malicious. But I do think he was lucky to get away with it. -

I don't think he's ever called the wrong winner of a Grand Prix. -
I do believe a former British champion has already exceeded that number. But, of course, I agree with your post entirely.

How is it? If he'd been thrown out at the same time as Holta, how many GPs would he have completed? I guess maybe 8 missed in 2005, 8 missed in 2006, 10 missed in 2007 and 3 missed so far in 2008. Because, facing facts, he isn't likely to qualify via the qualifiers, is he? -

To provide information for the people that visit our little site. We have a fair few Coventry supporters and many who admire the former British champion. And I don't detest him. I just don't agree with those who claim that he's the greatest thing since the microchip. If people were realistic, it wouldn't be a problem. But they aren't, are they? -

Just classes of any sort would appear to be the order of the day for you. You twist and turn according to your loyalties and prejudices. Try having a few principles now and again, you might find yourself able to hold your own in a debate then. -

Dear me, you're not awfully clever, are you? Let us look at the records: 2004 12..S Nicholls 14..R Holta Both out of the top eight, the former British champion nominated, Holta dropped. 2005 9..S Ncholls Still the former British champion out of the top eight, but again a bit of begging and he gets nominated. 2006 11..S Nicholls Once again, the former British champion resorts to begging and gets a nomination to save his skin after finishing outside the top eight. Meanwhile, Rune Holta qualifies for the GPs at Vetlanda. -

How is he lucky? He was kicked out and fought his way back in. Remind me how many times the former British champion has been shown charity? If he'd been any other nationality than British, he'd have been kicked out the same way Holta was. -

You just can't help yourself, can you? Thank you, young fellow. Once again you've tied yourself in knots. If you were consistent, you'd have said Gollob was in front and could do what he liked, such as take a dive, like Miskowiak on Monday, or ride the line he wanted. -

Well, no doubt it'll not be in accord with your opinion, since I thought it was a bit naughty from Gollob and I'd have been inclined to exclude him. Or are you going to tie yourself in knots again? I don't think Gollob was making any point other than that the track was a disgrace, which it was. -

Second is nowhere. And in those finals (just SEVEN in SIXTY, remember) he has made, he's never looked likely to win. -

Well, looks like dreadful luck for the Germans, but well done to the Magyars.

If so, Ferjan has to be favourite. Looks like Billy Joke didn't bother with his fifth ride either.

It's fifty. But he was dumped from the series when he didn't qualify by right and fought to get back into the series on merit. Unlike the former British champion, who has had at least three charity nominations. -
His official title is FIM Race Director, which I'd say tells us who appoints and employs him.

Tony Steele is a British referee (and a vastly over-rated one at that, possibly as over-rated as a referee as unSteady is as a rider), which means easy option is the default setting.
