Young tommy posted the following on another thread:
As far as I can gather, the speedway will be shown live on Sunday and Monday. It seems that Polsat are merely extending their coverage of the sport in Poland.
Well, it has a roof over the spectators, but not, I think, a sliding roof a la Cardiff.
However, the old Wembley was owned by Wembley plc, whereas the new Wembley is owned by the speedway-loving FA.
In saying that - and hoping that tommy and ZKZ Kitten will forgive me - there wasn't really a competitive 8th team in the league last year. Zielona Gora took some fearful tankings and only collected something like 4 points.
I must have been mistaken in thinking Gollob was outstanding in the SWC at Wroclaw and Eskilstuna in 2005. Gollob just needs to have proper machinery under him.
And Nicholls has not a hope of making the top 3. None whatsoever.
Surprised no one in Poland's looked at Lindback. I know he didn't cover himself in glory during his time with Wroclaw last season, but I'd have thought someone would've come in for him. Would he still be eligible to ride as a junior?
Wow. When I started reading this it was in the Elite League section and by the time I'd finished it was in the International World of Speedway section.
All sounds rather inelegant.
