  1. From my vantage point on the first bend it was clear that Lawrence locked up on the entrance to the second bend and gave Garrity nowhere to go. I might be a Fen Tigers supporter but I was very surprised that Lawrence wasn't excluded, although the ref did say he'd put the red lights on straight away for an unsatisfactory start, though nobody around me saw them come on.
  2. my picks are - Hancock Lindback Lindgren Bjerre Good luck all!
  3. Totally agree Phil What a brilliant day with the right result in the end. If the entertainment continues in that manner the crowds will keep coming back for more What a heat 15 it was too
  4. Final signing is Aaron Baseby with Danny Stoneman covering until Cameron Heeps arrives form Aus.
  5. I think Armo is riding for Dudley this year
  6. Chris Louis went up to Glasgow with Alun Rossiter last weekend so I reckon he's a shoe in for the job
  7. I think from a Guinness clouded memory, Dave Coventry said Damages totalling around £20,000 had been awarded, split between him and the moto-cross and the restrictions weren't being enforced for 12 months? But he did seem upbeat about the future of the stadium although he also noted that an appeal had be lodged against the judgement.
  8. Cameron Heeps signed on a 3pt average at reserve for the Fen Tigers. Announced at Fen Tigers forum tonight.
  9. Nikko, I'll think you'll find it was generated on the BSPA 'magic' calculator
  10. Agreed Ben, I think Niall would do a decent job given the chance
  11. Superb news, missed my Sunday afternoons at West Row at the end of last season
  12. The Mighty Midget, Legend end off If anyone had seen his performance guesting for Mildenhall last season, they would know his worth. The effort he put in was there for all to see and he is the one rider I would pick to watch race above ANY other rider i've ever watched.
  13. A glimmer of hope maybe? Posted by David Crane on Twitter 5 minutes ago - Tigers not over yet. Jolly in talks with 2 'top names in sport' & BSPA response is 'positive'. More in Thurs Speedway Star & Cambridge News Fingers crossed for all Fen Tigers fans.
  14. Moto-x don't use the stadium at Mildenhall, and have nothing to do with the promotion, apart from the moto-x and the speedway rent their land off the same owners. Probably very much like Rye House Speedway and the carting track behind it.
  15. From what i've read elsewhere it was 4-3, Stoke didn't get a vote as the weren't a national league club by then.
  16. Just a thought at a bit of a tangent, I wonder what the chances are of Peterborough riding at West Row in the NL? I imagine that the showground wouldn't be cheap to rent, and running at Mildenhall would help all parties out - cheaper rent for the Peterborough promotion, Monies coming in for Dave Coventry and RDC promotions, and racing for the Mildenhall fans to see in 2011.
  17. So does that mean that in your world you'd never release anyone from prison because the have a 'track record' then?
  18. But Steve Ribbons has said nothing, not even announcing that he was the new prospective promoter, until AFTER todays decision at the AGM.
  19. No it wasn't David Rowe, it was some Journalist actually. David Rowe was only on a snippet at the start of the interview.
  20. Well then you know, if you believe some numpty on the radio then
  21. Is it not obvious? Seems to me its a case of if Coventry and Peterborough pull out of the Elite League the league will be down to 7 teams and the Sky deal is for a minimum 8 team league. Therefore the Elite will throw money at Kings Lynn to move up to keep the Sky contract going. If Coventry and Peterborough remain in the Elite then Kings Lynn will stay put in the Premier.
  22. I'd check who's doing the track prep too! Weather forecast was for fine and dry weather and breezy
  23. Well what a let down! Got there at 11am and the tractor took to the track once for two laps of watering before the meeting started. 1st race was like a dust storm and after lap 3 you could already see the blue groove developing on turn one. Then they trotted out the old its a sunny and drying day, although for the most part it was overcast. A shocking track prep for what should have been a belter of a meeting. Virtually no passing and a meeting that took best part of fours hours too run. God knows what impression of British speedway it portrayed to the travelling Polish, Danish and Swedish fans I know for a fact that quite a few Polish fans had already retreated to the Rye pub around the corner by half way through the meeting. Virtually no overtaking and a real disappointment of a meeting, I think Uncle Len has shot his bolt with alot of fans there today, very many unhappy punters and I for one, amongst a host of others will have to think hard before travelling to Rye House again
  24. Good meeting and cracking result for Rye. Good to see Joe Jacobs back on a bike and looking his old self after a tentative first ride. Barry was Barry, great rider at NL level and a real team man. Luke was fast all night and everyone bar the unlucky Stokes chiped in with good scores. For the visitors Buzz looked good and so did Steve Worrall, and I was very impressed with Ashley Birks, one to watch! All in all a good meeting
