Swc Changes Needed ?
refereerick replied to Robbie B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Firstly, what a cracking advert for speedway last night Why do people come up with all the wierd and wonderful changes they want to the format AFTER the SWC has finished? Is it because the team they wanted to win didn't? Facts are the Poles are the strongest speedway nation at the moment, I didn't want them to win but they won fair and square. GB are not a force in world speedway anymore (much like most sport we compete in)Lets face it, if we have 5 man teams, 4 men or 10 men teams the Poles would still have been favourites. The only way team GB have a chance of winning is if we are the only team allowed to take part next season, and i'm sure we'd still find a way of mucking it up. -

He's getting married -
Good luck to Adam Portwood The lad has come on leaps and bounds this season and with a bit of race time and patience I think he'll become a tidy reserve for the Heathens

Give a 2012 place to Ben Barker

Mildenhall V Buxton - National League

I think they are due to be released soon after new evidence in their favour was found -
Aye, Heeps and Mark Baseby in for Brundle and Portwood. Fen Tigers now have Heeps and Jacobs at reserve, what a reserve pairing that could turn out to be Shame for James that he is unable to ride NL now due to riding PL for Rye, and a shame for Adam Portwood too, who has come on leaps and bounds this season and I for one was looking forward to see his progress in the team. Hopefully Adam can get a team place at West Row next season.

What a win for the Fen Tigers And a big well done to Joe Jacobs on an immaculate display for 4 races only spoilt by a shed chain in heat 15

Adam Portwood rides at reserve for the Fen Tigers. Heeps has been refused permission to ride in NL by the BSPA. As for if he'll do any after meeting laps, who knows?
-
Oh right, thanks for the info, I stand corrected

To be fair its everyone behind the scenes that are the reason the Fen Tigers are running this season. Yes Kevin Jolly was initially at the fore of the fight to bring the club back to life, but if you think that it is he alone thats done it then you're sadly mistaken. Obviously Michael Lee and Chris Louis have put in plenty of effort and money to get the club to where it is today and then the many other helpers etc in the background all bring a vital contribution to the sucessful running of the club. As far as i'm aware you can't have assets in the National League The riders Kings Lynn got from the club were assets from the time Mildenhall were in the Premier League.

Despite the reports from those who weren't in attendance last week, the track was actually the best it has been so far this season and produced some cracking racing. If it is prepared similar to last week you'll be in for an entertaining afternoon Looking forward to seeing Barrie back at West Row too

No James Brundle tomorrow as he is out injured after crashing in the Star of Anglia meeting at Ipswich on Thursday. Hopefully a suitable guest can be found

A brilliant display by the Mildenhall lads, but I get a feeling this coming Sunday v Hackney will be heeps better
-
On the Mildenhall website, it now says that John Resch will undergo surgery today to plate a double break in his leg, but other injuries are not as bad as first thought. Some positive news there at least, and get well soon John

Fair enough, I know nobody around me didn't see the lights but it didn't mean they didn't come on. Looked like Nick locked up but maybe he did just see the lights Appologies to both Dale Entwhistle and Nick Laurence if I have misinterpreted the situation.
