  1. Having been in the printing and sign trade for over 10 years, I’m well clued up on printing costs and materials etc. £99 for something like this isn’t expensive and you won’t be making much on it I doubt. It’s only these large companies who get everything mass produced and printed in China that absolutely kill the canvas market. That said, the actual artwork for that canvas looks awful and abit of a mess with everything blurred together.
  2. Blimey - I’m half expecting to see Brent Werner signing as a mid season signing! Good to see Complin back, was quality on his day on the big tracks!
  3. Either way, it wouldn’t of been lying. Like I said, poor form.
  4. You posted some decent stuff throughout this Polish season and we had some shared advice on the betting fronts - but you’re way off the mark and chatting nonsense here
  5. I’ve said many times I would to become a millionaire - doesn’t mean it will happen. He might well of said he wanted to return to Poole and he might well of wanted to. If certain things have prevented him from doing so or he got a better offer, there is nothing wrong in that and that doesn’t make him a liar. He might well of had a list of 4 or 5 clubs he wanted to join, but he has to choose one. To call him a liar is poor form.
  6. If you put your stronger reserve at no.6 though, they get an inside gate which can prove vital at Plymouth in the early races. They can then be swapped around accordingly after that.
  7. I doubt there was a single club lining up to sign Shanes other than Birmingham - certainly not a few!
  8. Good idea in principle but as has been said, the lack of riders to produce squads is the biggest problem. The idea on free movement on riders and tactical subs I like though. Would make the end of a meeting a lot more interesting.
  9. As of yet, Basso hasn’t signed for any club to compete in the U24 league and we are now outside of the transfer window. Even if he was going to be riding, Poland operate large squads so would anticipate they have plenty of cover for such a scenario.
  10. So called to increase merchandise sales so that fans could buy a racing top for rider ‘A’ and you would have the correct rider number printed on the back. They weren’t allowing for Oxford to use every man and his dog as well as Jamie Courtney I don’t think!
  11. Yep - each signing was assigned a different squad number they had to keep. I think by the end of the season didn’t Oxford end up on 30 something? No surprise but the idea was quickly dropped at the following AGM
  12. There is no way Musielak will do a Batchelor. He’s a better calibre of rider on the whole for starters and a hugely consistent performer nowadays. Musielak will end up as one of the highest averages riders in the league I am pretty confident.
  13. Pretty sure that is correct - in 2008 Somerset bad Jason Doyle and Emil Kramer at 1 and 3. Kramer was the highest averaged rider but didn’t ride at no.1 at all until the following season. This is what takes me back to my point at the start of allowing managers the option of making different changes to their line up.
  14. Isn’t that part of the tactical knowledge the team managers would need though - you could put your stronger rider at no.2 but likely to leave you weaker in heat 12 or 13 potentially.
  15. An interesting thought after browsing various sections of the forum and seeing people suggest their potential line ups for their teams and riding order - Is it time for a change where other than the reserves, the top 5 can be placed in any order? Nowadays team managers seem to be restricted more than ever in their tactical play. Just why does the highest averaged rider need to ride at no.1? Why not have the home team declare their side and then the away team juggles their riders to the positions of their choice. Could make things abit more interesting - especially given the lack of actual star powered ‘number 1’ riders gracing our shores in both divisions.
  16. Anyway who has been watching the Polish league will know that Musielak is the signing of the league. He should easily average over 8 points
  17. Great signing in Hans. He’ll have immaculate kit and should be absolute mustard around Plymouth. No big loss in Lawson. I was never a big fan at Somerset and not entirely sure Gary May was? Always seemed to be riding absolute lawnmowers and hasn’t done much to change my opinion since.
  18. Shane Parker, Travis McGowan and Jamie Smith…. Then more recently when Somerset signed Rory Schlein, was one of the reasons I stopped going. Edit - when we turned a championship winning side into a 2nd placed side on the verge of the start of the season when we signed Henning Loof as an injury replacement.
  19. Jason Edwards has signed for Grudziadz U24 side
  20. Zupinski shown great promise and Torun spent a lot to get him this year but he was very disappointing. They’ve just signed Zielinski from Grudziadz who shown glimpses of being decent at times. Torun have also just announced Sajdullin, Zach Cook, Petr Chlupac and Bastian Pedersen - Nicki Pedersen’s nephew.
  21. Apologies, I had read the translation incorrectly - got it now
  22. Scrap that then after that last bit of news and the U24 no longer being required
