Just as I feared. The Lions heat-leaders all failed. The only riders that kept the hopes alive were Jan and Kev. The Lions will claim that "We wuz robbed" by some dodgy refeering.

TBH I can't see the Lions getting much from this match. Nemo seems to be very off song, Bjerre is up and down like a funicular, Graverson is lost away from BP, and the reserves have done little to instill confidence. Doolan should do ok, but I think the Tigers by 10-12

Despite a first class guest in the form of Craig Cooke, after last night showing at Plymouth this should be a walk over for the Lions. However, the Lions have a habit of making the easy look very difficult. I go for a Lions win of about 15.

If the team were signed up on the strength of promises of track improvements, which are now not being undertaken, perhaps we will see a few rider movements early in the season

I think this match will hinge on which of the Lions heat-leaders decide to have an off night. It must be about Nemo's turn by now. Bjerre, and Karlsson have already had their turn. I hope Graverson can cover for whichever heat leader goes AWOL.
