Giving it a go next year for the first time in 4 years. Last time was spoilt by drunks........ -
Sweden's Elite League - Only 9 Teams!
essaitch replied to oldtimewolf's topic in International World of Speedway
Watching Ryan Sullivan back at the Showground last year totally disproved that. Nowhere near the quickest bikes, but winning races by knowing the way round the track. -
British Gp Ticket Prices / Stadium Plan
essaitch replied to heathen79's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Looks like I may have to ask to have morwe people removed again then. don't see why people should sit in a better area than they've paid for. I always reporty the people who start appearing half way through the meeting. -
Worse than thjat, the constant pressure of the GP's has almost finished the career of Lindback and Zagar. Don't want to finish Holder and Sajfutdinov off just yet.

Colin Merediths Track Dryer
essaitch replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Couldn't he have borrowed Nicki P's dryer?? -
I think the fact is that there isn't anyone outside the top 8 any better than whats there. Top five are all over 30 too, may not go down well with those calling for young blood, but a fact!

Scandinavian Gp Wild Card?

ALL of his points wasn't it? 4 third's, in 4 three rider races! -
On tonights showing at least Hans could be his major competitor.

Predictions For.......
essaitch replied to gaylord's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think the deals right, but does it match the ambition? Was shown to be woefully short of speed at times last year by the top guys, also seemed to lose the set up when it mattered? The youngest guy to be a contender for the title though and still a good bet to be world champ one day! -
Predictions For.......
essaitch replied to gaylord's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I take it Jawa still haven't found Hans the speed he's been badly missing then? -
Yeah, the Leigh Adams who'd scored 5 points from 4 rides decided he wasn't going to get involved in a battle for the lead!! Must've been a really hard descision to make!!

Rosco Your Country Needs You.
essaitch replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
To be honest you'd have had to hope so! Mind you, how many team days have the Danes had this year, starting with the winter Oxford dates. And Britain had?? -

Could any British riders do any better for any manager? -
Georgie Thompson Hosts Race Off & Final

Think you'll fing Scott passed Hans because Hand made a desperate lunge on Gollob, second behind Gollob wasn't enough. Don't think Scott would have got near if Hans had settled for second. Quite dissapointed in Scott and Lee and especially Bomber. Never in the races. Leigh Adams struggled a lot too.

World Cup - Vojens Sat 14 July
essaitch replied to Mad Mitch's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't blame the Danish riders Steve, as I posted on another thread and Jan was quoted as above most of them prefer some dirt!! As to Olsen, well maybe! But it sounds as if it was more just the terrible weather we've been having. -
Will Middlo Inspire Us To Swc Glory?
essaitch replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Exactly!! Are people REALLY saying saying that a different manager might have won it?? Untill such time as we can find 6 world class riders we'll struggle. This year must be better than the last few, but we still only have 3 / 4. Look at the Danish team for the difference. The Ipswich heat leader as reserve, and Gjedde can't even get near! Whilst we have Olly Allen, with Simon Stead and @Eddie Kennet IN the team. With full respect to eveyone I'd say that shows the difference. -
I'd go with Danny King, who seems in great form at the moment!

What Now For Team Gb?
essaitch replied to Ricky Bobby's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
On recent performances can't help feeling Danny may be the better bet!! -
When I went to football last year (Wolves!!?) we just had to remove the lids from any drinks bottles! A very fair compromise I thought.
-
Not to forget Danny King! And, thinking about it, must be a case for Richard Hall, the only one of them to make it to the GP Qualifier Semi!!
