  1. Love him or loathe him but Tai was emperious last night - he was untouchable and team rode brilliantly. So glad he is riding for Team GB again. Felt sorry again for Cook - his only ride was off gate 4 and I would be surprised if he got a ride today because Tai and Robert look a good pairing. I certainly didn't expect Team GB to be leading at the half way stage - more of the same tonight please.
  2. All hail Matt Ford! For doing what should have been done properly first time round!
  3. Speedway fans ARE anoraks - who else would put up with the cr@p from the BSPA?
  4. Interesting that Klindt is getting a Poole race suit made (and looking for sponsors) - did he not get the memo about it being bibs this season at Poole?
  5. And then he forks out loan fees for Worrall, Kildemand and Nielsen - seems odd with all those assets!
  6. No one wants any club to close but it is a sport dying on its @rse -unless there is some radical surgery
  7. That’s really working out well - don’t you think?
  8. Speedway of Nations? Can’t see it lasting long and not as good as World Team Cup. Total borefest packed with lesser riders!
  9. Surely not? If so, Starry can replace him as he seems to have been talking track preparation for most of the season
  10. That’s really bad luck for the Rockets and Panthers and more so EK. Given the team vulnerabilities, I can’t see the Rockets going with guests. Ben Barker to replace him?
  11. Ok so Cook is a bit hit and miss and hasn't got the consistency yet for a top-level rider but he is in the SGPs on merit and easily qualified for this year's GP Challenge and deserves his place in Team GB SoN. If he can get his level of consistency to match his passion then he can expect a successful few years ahead.
  12. The way Klindt is riding at the moment in the Championship - he will fit in nicely in this team of under-achievers. Can't see him turning fortunes around but will maybe spur on a few others in the team!
  13. Not forgetting Justin Elkins who was a great for Swindon and went off the boil when he went to Poole
  14. I thought that Glyn was supposed to be a great track man. As said above by flagrag it would be interesting to hear from him - because something is smelling strongly of fish here
  15. At the after match press conference at Swindon both Ellis and Morris said that there were some tracks they didn't like. Both said Lakeside (Eastbourne and Rye house) and they are both now riding for Lakeside and scoring well. So just because a rider doesn't like a track doesn't mean that they can't get used to it.
  16. How is a track slightly aggressive then? Does it chuck up stones at the riders? All clubs have their resident nutters - that's just life - as long as they don't go over the top it is usually just friendly banter.
  17. I don't think it was ever in doubt that Poole would make the play-offs (despite a poor start to the season, they are only 3 points off a play-off spot). As BV72 has said, the expected changes will make them stronger alongside underperforming riders finding their form.
  18. It certainly wasn't the best meeting shown on Sky - nor was it the worst. KL keeping it close kept it interesting. Robert Lambert and Eddie Kennett were the best of those on show (I didn't think I'd be saying that of EK given his form this year). In the end Rye deserved their win and KL were unlucky to go home without a consolation league point.
  19. I expected a closer meeting with the Rebels having a few ex-Robins and others that ride Blunsdon well. Well done to Nick - a paid max including 2 wins over WC Doyle. Great result!
  20. A very unexpectedly close meeting with Poole unlucky to lose it in the end! Looks like certain Poole riders have sorted themselves out - just in time for them to strengthen - interesting!
  21. Has the BSPA approved Starke in the team - even if it is only for a couple of meetings?
  22. He can't guest for Stefan or James because his average is higher. Poole have re-declared their team with him in it - and will do the same when Klindt comes along.
