  1. Been there before - it’s called the Poole precedence! Except not needed with Doyle signing
  2. It's beginning to look a lot like... a Dad's Army Coventry team. Can they fit Nicholls, Harris and KK? Guaranteed to win the title for ... the oldest team in the league (and can't see them having the stamina to make the playoffs).
  3. Errr - no issue over finance and your alternative view is all about finance! Confused.com!,
  4. So is this another example showing that Somerset should get Noddy on loan rather than a full transfer or just you muddying the waters? The example I used was justification for Poole not getting a transfer fee - no Swindon involvement and no dates about who did what first!
  5. This means absolutely jack! A few years ago, Swindon were looking to use Miedzinski and he went to Poole. Swindon demanded that this was a full transfer and Poole said no - a loan only. It went to arbitration and on loan he went - turning a valuable asset on a really low average into a worthless asset on a much higher average. So Poole can demand a fee but the precedence has been set and the boot is on the other foot now!
  6. 6.33 average at reserve - lol (BTW - it adds up to 43.23 using the averages you have listed)
  7. The team looks good to me. Obviously weak at reserve but unless Mitchell pulls up some trees, he will go the same way as Grondal did last year when other riders' averages go down early doors. I hope whoever Rosco has lined up to replace him has as much impact as Alpen did last season
  8. Probably because he was riding with a broken foot for most of the season. When he was needed to ride in Heat 15 - he was there!
  9. Looks more like a Poole A team compared to who Poole have announced - with the difference that most fans would want to see them do well
  10. Including Swindon lifting the trophy in 2012 there
  11. Opinion apart - that is just wrong!
  12. Good strength in depth and should do well as a team (with 3 riders vying for the 3rd HL sport and always a strong reserve).
  13. Always liked Hans - and its good that he will still be riding in the UK next year. A move that will probably satisfy his desire to win another league championship. EDIT - Just read his Tweet and he doesn't actually say he won't be back "I’ll be back 2018 just not every week at the moment". So it sounds like he has been told he is not currently in their plans but if Plan A doesn't work, he may be???
  14. No - I was responding to Skidder's post
  15. Best wishes for Noddy at Somerset. Looks like the turbo years are well in the past but a good average to take to his new team
  16. If Woryna is much better than Ellis then you won't have a problem having Woryna's average re-assessed to reflect this - thought not!
  17. A deal isn't done until it is concluded so in that respect you were not right because he is at Swindon and not Poole. In September, it probably was looking like a done deal (which is why you incorrectly think you were right) but a few months down the line and that deal hit the skids and no longer exists. A lesson for Matt in contracts
  18. It was 2 years actually and he's like the prodigal son. He's like Marmite - he can be a match winner or ride disinterested on his day - as KL fans found out. Whether anyone likes it or not - he's signed !
  19. Not a surprise that Batch is back. It will mean Zach is the senior reserve so he will need to continue where he left off last season. The top 5 looks strong and they will need to maintain their averages to make the playoffs.
  20. They are averages that do not reflect their current ability or take any consideration of their improvement (or otherwise) since they last rode here. Not blaming Poole - who are the masters of finding ringers (all within the rules) - the fault lies with the BSPA for allowing it. They have introduced a rule this season for SGP riders who didn't ride last year which I think a lot of people agree with but they haven't implemented this rule for all other riders - which would be fairer. Of course those that benefit won't see anything wrong because it gives them a big advantage over the other teams - and yes any other team can sign such riders - but it doesn't make it right!
  21. I see Neil Watson is back as a co-promoter at Peterborough for next season.
  22. You couldn’t accommodate a 2 pointer for the #7 so won’t be that team
