  1. So who would Max be replacing - as I don't recall reading that any of the Poole riders were injured earlier?
  2. Strong on paper - really? They didn't have PUK at the start of the season and Batch was injured and they looked poor at reserve having to release Lewis Kerr. If anything, they looked like they would struggle and that has been the case.
  3. If Wolves and Lakeside make the playoffs then I think Poole and BV may falter in the semis. Swindon would seem an easier pick for whoever tops the table but as Grachan has said, if the Swindon team all click like we have seen in several matches (as well as total capitulation in others) then they shouldn't be written off. When the 4 play-off contenders are finalised then I agree that Wolves on current form look to be the team to beat but all teams will raise their game in the semis and final and finishing top should be a priority so at least they have some level of control in their destiny.
  4. I don't agree with your logic. A number of the matches still to be ridden involve the playoff teams e.g. Poole still have to go to Belle Vue (twice) and Wolves, Swindon at Lakeside and Belle Vue, Belle Vue at Poole. So I think it is far from certain who will finish top. Poole haven't ridden the BV track so I don't know how you can say that BV should win. It looks like 1 from 3 for top spot so not clear cut.
  5. Riders don't want to be saddled with too high an average for next season. When the play-offs start, you will see an improvement
  6. Understrength - you think so? No way would PK have scored as much as Tungate
  7. Tungate on fire. He really has hit a rich vein of form And I have to say that I thought he should have been dropped by Swindon when his form was poor. Glad to be proved wrong!
  8. In your opinion - which may be shared by others but the facts suggest that they are evenly matched - look at the league table. With Lambert being back (and on the back of last night's result), I think KL will win in front of their home fans
  9. Yes - great benefits of losing to Swindon in the second leg at home a few years back
  10. Usually a team that loses at home - comes back strong in their next match. Who's that against?
  11. Great heat 15 and no EL points for Poole Well done Tungate and the Roobins
  12. A rather simplistic view - would you accept a 25% pay cut??
  13. Best to go before they start warming up their bikes and you can get a good view of the pits. After this, best to stand next to the fence at the pits but you can't see everything. As Skidder1 jokingly said, the best view is probably from the new houses encroaching on the pits.
  14. I'm going for a Swindon win. Like BritPete said, they are unpredictable but given that a play-off place is at stake, I think the Roobins will raise their game and come out victorious
  15. In that case, teams who fail to complete their EL matches should have their outstanding home matches awarded 75-0 against them. Can't really have any sympathy for a team that sits out the whole of June or doesn't start doing track work until 8pm!!
  16. As Edinburgh vs Somerset is off - does that mean Rohan can take his place in the team? (I remember a similar situation for Sam Masters and that it was Wolves choice to go without him and that they could have included him rather than have him as a spectator). Edit - just saw on the Swindon website that he does indeed ride for Swindon tonight (assuming its not rained off)
  17. Well done to the Roobins - a massive 4 EL points
