 I am not too sure how Holubs ride cannot be taken into account & was part of a conversation with friends at the last meeting. My view on this is as he started the race it counts as a race & meeting. If he had touched the tapes & excluded or missed the 2 minutes & also replaced, he would not have started the meeting so would not have counted. As i have said before, trying to follow the Rules & Reg's is a nightmare. so it's best to enjoy the racing which we are blessed with at the EWR, win or lose(but not many Rob). Reading other forum threads, people are getting bored with gate-&-go saying tracks should be better prepared but the weather has a lot to say in this.

 As regards Holubs CMA, upto & including last year, he has ridden in 4H & 3A meetings having ridden 28 times & having 25pts giving a CMA of 3.57. If changes are to be made, in the Regulations 16.2.7 it states "Should an Established MA not be achieved in order to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares". From what i understand, this would then be re-assessed at 5.00 as you cannot go below(unless that is from 2017). Trying to follow Regulations & sub-regs is difficult so trying to explain to newbies is a nightmare. Who would want to be a Manager! Mr Courtney is still learning & he is an ex rider!

In EL the reserves are not allowed T/R rides which rules out ht12

 Also, checking the area over the last 24hrs has given drizzle or overcast. So track could have been prepared but early call off because of forecast!!!!!!!! or something else?

 There is, also, the fact rules must be adhered to. I have been reading the forum thread of Edin v Berwick. On there it has been said missing Cook/Sedgmen & the replacements not doing their job, but give them time. Others have said need to make a change & this was the point raised. You cannot change an assessed rider so r/r or guests, when applicable, are the only options.  Just gone back to previous thread where rule is posted #73

 That is now the last two meetings that the Scorpions have raced at(P'boro & Sheffield where there has been no dirt on the track. Are teams getting scared of our racing entertainers or being boring to catch us out & make sure the home team wins! What do people want? Be entertained but lose or be bored with FTG racing. You know where to come then at 6.30 on sun. Be entertained at the EWR.

 Trying to read the cryptic messages on here about Holub, i & even Rob has mentioned that Holubs CMA would drop. To what extent we did not envisage. To think it's manipulation of averages you only have to read the reports in previous meetings. The first 2, this year, Holub has been riding with Davies who had great meetings, taking points off & outscoring him. We then find out his engines have been too powerful for our slick/wet track meetings so has struggled for set-ups(as have others). To think just because Holub withdrew from the meeting, that the rest of the team should lower their CMA by having a poor meeting just does not come into it "by doing the sums". They all have to earn a living & that performance would have been a poor pay day.

we'll be lucky if we hit 30 going by results so far. Caught Ippo early away but at home 2 greasy tracks at start of meetings has cost us and, at the moment, we are carrying at least 3 riders per meeting so we need more practice/set-up time/meetings in the LC to prepare us for the PL. Just my honest opinion so far

Catch peterboro cold having not ridden much! Do not think that is gonna happen. If they can get a draw at Sheffield, what can they do at home?

Zdenek Holub race points, including last years 3 meetings(12pts - 15rides), now stands at 23pts from 27rides. Just 2 more away meetings before an actual CMA is given.

graham is not clear at the best of times, but Rob is! However, on sunday, even the centre green mike was playing up as talk & interviews were hard to hear. Also noticed the speaker is pointing away from the first stand towards the start line. Could this be adressed, cheers Rob(moorwell)

So, reading between the lines, Bewley is the Monarchs no7 for a minimum of 4 home meetings. After that, he could be replaced by Davey or if fixtures clash & BV have priority, he is replaced by a more experienced no7. Sounds good business if you ask me! 

 A reserve cannot take a t/r but is fine to take a heat 15 ride, providing he qualifies. In this instance, he was the 3rd highest point scorer.

David Howe was another of the testers used & from what i remember, he thought they would be a good thing to introduce to keep costs/engine blowups down

probably to starve 4 or 5 riders in the scorps camp that likes the dirt

 only 5 ht wins BUT only 6 last places. Excellent team work.

 must be hard for any reserve to be dropped(for the benefit of the team) to ride heats 2 & 4 then wait till heat 14 for 3rd ride

it's now 19.46 on updates and no result of first heat. thought it started at 19.30 plus the minutes silence for those departed since the end of season, god bless.

 i think i have read somewhere, where Poland are going to try 2 race nights. This might mess up a few teams. Why not wait until 2017?

Rob knew his average would drop, as do most newcomers on a 7 so not a risk with also the chance of changes later. As pointed out already, Holub scored 12 pts from 15 rides so needs to score 53 more points from 21 rides to attain a 7 from his remaining 2 home & 3 away meetings required to get an actual CMA. Something tells me that Rob has got his head screwed on, "teased us" with not running in 2016, then thought 1 bad injury season, lets see what we can do with the "entertainers" if injuries are minimal.

If we are to entice the younger generation then, yes, you need an improved entertainment package. More modern music played(easily downloadable to ipod or phone) Grid lights & flashing lights at start gate area 2nd chequred flag at bend 3 to hand to winning scorpion rider on lap of honour improved viewing by extra banking & (been waiting/suggesting for a few years now) raise the level of the 1st stand) by removing internal barriers, increase level 6inch+ with reclaimed bricks then hardcore(plenty of that in car park), need for extra steps for increased height, side rails for H & S on steel work at both ends then replace barriers. we need to bring in extra money/support by having "bring a friend" discounted tickets BUT these must be bought by registering your name so it is not abused 

Josh was injured twice & only rode in about 12 meetings, Zdenek only rode in 3, Ryan only came over in june & had about 6 meetings so of last years team, only Alex & Wilko rode for the majority of the season with the former finding his fett as he had a year out in 2014. Most teams look good on paper at the start of a season but performing & being injury free is another story.

Don't forget your stockcars on a sat evening & the bank holiday meetings
