If chris and jack hadn't already agreed to race for somerset..how did some of us know where they would go??? Maybe matt had agreed to let chris go to somerset...then the one over 8 rule was brought in..changing matt plans completely
-
If they come back another week..they may ask what happens if?? But don't ever offer the info lol.....speedway rules are just bonkers. Or you could just say I could tell you the rules mate, but they will change them next season...Maybe even during this season.....now just watch the racing and enjoy it for what it is.

I think it's a case of chris had already agreed to race for somerset with jack...as mentioned months ago...Matt has decided he wants to use him., chris has said no matt I'm racing for somerset. Matt throws toys out of pram and says....well they will have to buy you then. Chris says ...whatever matt...do what ya want but I'm not racing for you next year. Matt throws more toys out of pram and says.. Well can we at least make it look like I've tried to sign you in the press..as don't want people thinking I've lost my touch.

Agree with that....its all the newcomer needs to know...we want them to come back
-
It's like most things in life....I would love a nice fast car...but my budget can't afford one...so I've got a cheaper slower one.
-
You do...and they shouldn't have.
-
It was only last season that the rule wasn't in place....so it's not a new rule. Harris took advantage last year when the rule was not in place, Scott didn't...Although he was offered a place at one club he chose not to take it because of the money on offer.
-
This is going to sound harsh...but isn't the idea of sport that the best get better and if the weak can't keep up they get denoted and find the level they can compete at? why should speedway be any different?? It's either a sport or it isn't.
-
I've said it before...rules should have a minimum of say a 5 season cycle....that way everyone knows where they stand....clubs, riders., fans. A ten year cycle would be even better...clubs may then invest in young riders more.
-
Do you not think so flappy?? other teams may offer a better deal anyway...but I'm guessing the panthers would have a better advantage getting a couple of good riders due to your location.
-
Very good news...hated having to rush to a bank on a Thursday to get some cash for the speedway. That moves foxhall stadium into the 2000's ...only another nearly another 18 years of catch up to go
-
If they change the rules the panthers could end up with a good team by default.. The only problem with changing the rules now is maybe a few of the teams that have now been put together will be weaker possibly by default. What I really want to know though..is why are the rules in speedway so crazy every year....its about time they got shot of the current rule makers and the last lot of rule makers...and give the job so someone or some people that may actually be able to do the job.

I take it season ticket sales are up on last year
-
Another one that isn't??? I thought he would be as had a second division average from 2016

Auntie Beeb has remembered what Speedway was, once...

Maybe new cars and mortgage payments??? Obviously none was put back into the sport. -

But what did they spend the millions on??? Certainly wasn't things like track covers and stadiums..or promoting the sport . -
What happened to Kk?? What's happened to the the troll tonight??
-
Not so sure about that.....British touring cars is becoming very well supported again since they made the racing even more closer by boost control and success ballast.
-
Some great info from the Isle of Wight bloke....makes me want to go and check it out next season. People like him deserve to be a success.

Timo Lahti and Rohan Tungate
-
Well I think that's something all clubs should take on...and the best ideas implemented across the country..
-
Correct
-
Do they?? I didn't know that....and how is that working?? If they can't think of what would enhance their chances of attending..then a few old duffers don't stand a chance.

It probably would be more attractive if other things went on as well. These teenagers are the play station generation and smart phone generation. They are used to everything being there instantly at a touch of a button and hit reset if they don't like it. A speedway meeting is a drawn out borefest for most of the 2 and a bit hours you are there. Maybe they should take a group of youngsters..and ask them how to improve an evening at the speedway and what would make them want to up. Like some sort of focus group.

If he is your number 1 then you need to have a couple of reserves that can score a lot of points...but still don't think that will help that much in the last few heats. Maybe they need to say sorry to a couple that you already have and change the lay out of the team.
