  1. I do like the way some are talking this up to be a good meeting still. Okay fair enough its not all over yet, and we may still get a result, but for that to happen in think Somerset will have needed to have had 16 engine failures and as long as we had 2 finishers in every race, we would win.
  2. Don't we know it, we will get totally thrashed good and proper next Friday, like we normally do.
  3. Worrall yes please Manzares yes please Heeps yes if he rides like 2013 and on his current average should improve on that. Hawkins yeah why not, alays tries his heart out Ellis yes if he doesn't race for lakeside, which obviously hurts his confidence Tungate, no because I don't think there is any improvement left Risager same as tungate, even though he has had his best season for us, I don't see any improvement. Others to consider Kyle Newman Steen Jensen Steve Boxall Danny king Jason Doyle Ricky Wells David Howe Will add to list when I can think of a few more. What we definitely need to do is change one of our gaters for an out and out racer to do better at the outside line tracks, someone like ostergaard for example.
  4. Also if you ain't racing on the fastest lines, good luck or bad luck ain't gonna make any difference.
  5. It was still going when he rode it back to the pits, and normally with ignition failure it will make a pop and spit a flame out the back. All I and others saw was him overtaken then you could see him shut off, if slowed down then after race had finished he rode it into the pits From that comment I take it you are his mechanic?
  6. he did engine fail at all, he was sitting on the wrong piece of track like he did all night and one went around him and one up the inside at the same time, and instead of sticking his elbows out or fighting it out, he lost his bottle and shut off letting them both past, he then gave up, no engine failure involved there he did engine fail at all, he was sitting on the wrong piece of track like he did all night and one went around him and one up the inside at the same time, and instead of sticking his elbows out or fighting it out, he lost his bottle and shut off letting them both past, he then gave up, no engine failure involved tthere. The only 2 people brave enough to properly race the track was Worrall and Hawkins.
  7. Same old story Ipswich fans, when a couple of the riders needed to stand up and be counted, they politely sat down
  8. I'm guessing like the rest of us, he has to work and try and earn some money. Good luck to him, but I'm only looking at it from my own selfish point of winning.
  9. Let's hope the racing is good tonight on what's meant to be one of the best racing tracks. I'm sure this has been suggested before, although not for a while. Such an easy thing to do aswell, but I don't see it happening unless it's done unofficially.
  10. Personally I think having morten back weakens us,especially on that track, hoping he teaches me to keep my mouth closed and scores a load.
  11. Now apparently i am someone that always sticks the boot in when I can and always makes something out of nothing, so this would be another perfect opportunity. Sorry but I am going to disappoint. It's very hard to get the Ipswich track as good as some others for racing, because the dirt line can never be built up due to the fence always having to be taken down and the dirt taken off due to all the car racing. So basically you are getting a new track every meeting, so personally I think a great job is done with the track. Okay, last night's meeting was pretty much gate and go, which you get on most tracks from time to time. Add that together with last night's opposition and it was always more than likely to be a borefest. XWe do have some really good racing sometimes, but last night was just not that night.
  12. Is this going our way? No Birks certainly helps us. I'm sure I read Kyle Newman was guesting somewhere, not Wilkinson, but again if it is Wilkinson, that helps us. Hope gino has a bike to race, and sorry morten nothing against you, but if it's rr for morten, that's another bonus imho
  13. Like you superblue, I thought once Allen was out and with starke and aspgren performing poorly to start with, we should easily have hit 60. Has gino got anything else left to ride tomorrow? Another great performance from Worrall, he was a class above for 5 heats. As for the crowd, I wouldn't have said it was anything special, but it certainly wasn't poor, about the norm I would have said. So basically we have to at least somehow get a draw or better tomorrow, cos we all know how bad we are at Somerset. Hoping to watch the lads put on their best ever Scunthorpe performance tomorrow.
  14. Just how many times does Allen fall in his first ride here and withdraw? Still, hope he is okay
  15. And that bit of fence does get hit pretty often Can't be a poor crowd, as the play offs are meant to draw bigger crowds. It's not a bad crowd since season tickets holders have to pay.
  16. Oh I didn't know Scunthorpe had already been to Somerset, sorry. Oh well in that case I will hopefully see Ipswich amass a huge win tonight and break all expectations and get a win or draw tomorrow, just hope I'm not the only Ipswich fan there. Now I'm not a doctor, but how would mouth ulcers stop you from racing a bike?
  17. Or hope Scunthorpe get a point at Somerset, which is more likely than us getting anything. Wouldn't we then all end on 6
  18. Surely we need to kick some butt tonight, just in case we don't get anything tomorrow.
  19. I don't like it and I said so, but it does happen at every track, and it will happen at Scunthorpe when one of our riders goes down. I guess it's now part of the sport.
  20. You should morten risager, always scores highly at your track, and not exactly on the highest of averages.
  21. Oh I'm not doubting they are more than capable of pulling it off, it's just one of those types of tracks that needs to be ridden a certain way, and that's not a way most of our riders ride, that's the only reason I'm going to say we won't get as close as we need to, ditto when we race at Somerset.
  22. Do you honestly think so? I shall be going to watch it in hope, but I really don't see us getting as close as Somerset, we just don't have enough fence scrapers in our team IMO Do you honestly think so? I shall be going to watch it in hope, but I really don't see us getting as close as Somerset, we just don't have enough fence scrapers in our team IMO
