It does seem like we get ourselves in possible positions to win things, but it just doesn't happen, I hope this isn't going to be another one of those times. Are we stronger now? Cameron and Worrall are racing a lot better now, but to counter act that, gino is now scoring less and mortens great purple patch sadly finished a couple of months back. I think we definitely need more than 8, more like double that, but if our whole team does all turn up on the same night, I think we could get that amount.

So being realistic, how many points lead do we need to take away in the cup? It's a track we are okay at, so I'm thinking about 16 should possibly be enough. Can we get that type of lead is the next question? Mmmmm not sure, but yeah I think we could if we don't throw away stupid points by going through tapes and falling off in points scoring positions, and using the form reserve on the night to good use.

But it just makes no sense to me, why not ride the fastest line? Maybe it's cos I have done various forms of racing, who knows. What I do know is that if I am not using the best and fastest way around a race track, I won't win, or give myself a chance to win or even stay in front of my fellow racers. Anyway, I will shut up now.

Sounds like the Somerset riders just wanted to win more and had the killer instinct we so badly lack. Only riders that really want to win squeeze through the smallest gaps.

Well they wouldn't want to use the dirt to often and win more races would they, it's not the done thing.

Can i just ask anyone that went to this match, if rohan or morten went way out into the dirt? Looking at morten score especially, it's not great, he was also in a couple of 3 rider races. Maybe the inside was the place to be?

We never seem to get the second leg of anything, why is that?

We need more racers than that, although there will be worse teams mentioned. Personally I would start a team with king Worrall Wells heeps and manzares and work from there. Or king Worrall ostergaard heeps manzares

Or maybe even another week without racing?

It looked like we may just get something at one point, then it all went Pete Tong. We certainly need to add at least one more proper racer to next seasons team or we will always get beaten at tracks like that. Well done though lads, I'm sure you did you're best.

So if they don't get a point? Does that mean they haven't prepared properly or given 100 percent? Of course it doesn't. It just means they were not good enough, out raced or unlucky.

What do you class as giving you're all? Morten may give his all white lining it, but that's the wrong line.

I'm gonna start being positive and say we will get the point we need, I can see morten and rohans back wheels kissing the air fence right now as the Somerset riders crawl round they curb.

Maybe that's why it broke then, he should try selettra ignition, far better for small engines, let hope he uses that Friday. After all I've said about us not doing very well this coming Friday, I'm actually going to change my mind and say we will get at least a point. Once every now and then an Ipswich team will win a meeting they are never expected to, for example, at Workington a couple of season ago. This may just may be another one of those meetings, we are due one. Is a point enough for us?

It doesn't matter who is at reserve, we don't have a chance in hell of a point, not with how our current crop of riders race. The only way I could possibly see us getting something, is if the weather has been awful and the track is unraceable, then our superior gating may help us.

I guess it all depends on what different people see as a good meeting. I was seeing it from an Ipswich fans point of view, but if I was a neutral, then yes I guess it was a good meeting with a good amount of passing and gutsy riding.

It wasn't great watching, unless you are a scorpions fan.

With our lack of top line assets, surely the premier is the place to be, and I think the racing is closer. It's also nice to be in contention for various silverware, which we won't be in the elite.

This is only my opinion and my observations of tungate. The reason I don't see him improving much more and becoming the out and out number 1 and going on to be a top elite league rider or other leagues, is basically his limiting style. It seems he is always leg forward and touching ground nearly all the way round the corner, this really does limit what he can do on a bike, it's not a good style to have for letting the bike run in the dirt and it certainly also hinders you changing line quickly in the bends. Just look at Worrall who is going to become a top rider, his style allows him to run around his opposition entering turns which allows him to run to the dirt, his leg is then back and he is balanced, he can then stay in the dirt or quickly lock up and cut up the inside if he chooses, also a foot dab style allows him to enter a corner nearly at 90 degrees allowing him to pin it to the curb, nearly all the top riders have this style in their armoury. Tungates style mainly allows him to race mid track with not much option line change, which is why he very rarely passes from behind and often gets overtaken when in front.

Yes heeps could do with a season away, but not on his current average, he should easily put 1.5 points on that next season, then you loan him out for a year. I would imagine you may just see him in an elite league team next season too.
