Thorsell's gone up my list of riders i want to see after that display.First time i watched one of these all the way through,with an old Swedish programme to hand to try and follow the action knowing who was in each race,very enjoyable meeting,allow my screen froze occasionally.Made me miss my trips to Sweden and those long late nights being attacked by midges! Who was in heat 15, Basinski + ???

Damn was looking forward to seeing Artem Laguta in action.

Dont know why my last post doesn't appear in new content listings? Anyway in summary,go to Gorzow,it's amazing!

Lady luck on my side again as it peed it down today in Gorzow! What an amazing experience that was!As i'm sure many of you saw online,it was an action packed one full of controversies and overtaking.At the stadium itself it was mad, i was right near the ZG fans,or as near as you could get with the masses of riot police in the way and it was a good job they were there! It was bloody hot so i melted a bit and the trip was very tiring in the heat,especially when trains were delayed and i thought i was going to miss my connections and thus miss the meeting(Luckily the train to Gorzow was held up too so i just made it!)But once i finally made it the atmosphere was incredible and the hospitality great as i collected my pass and was whisked past the huge queues in the vip entrance! Finally got to see Pawlicki and he started really well though seemed to tire,whereas Gollob got better after early bike problems.Protasiewicz was the pick of the opponents,certainly different from his inept Parken showing. I got covered head to foot in dust and larger pieces of shale hit me so hard i nearly fell over,they hardly bothered with watering,but it was all part of the fun. Stayed in Gorzow but had to detour to my hotel as roads blocked with riot police.At the hotel i then watched second half of the Leszno match and a 5 minute round up of speedway news on the national news.Hampel was all over the place on tv,if he wins the world championship things will go ballistic! Well i got a 6 week break now for my foreign adventures while they try and operate on my back,then its Gniezno v Daugvapils on the 18th July!!

If my back is up to it by then i may well join you on that one.

So happy Lars is returning.Talked to him at Newport and have facebooked him since as he came across as such a nice lad and was gutted he couldn't ride then.

Good job bluejam put me in contact with Gorzow's press officer and he has reserved me a ticket as it is completley sold out!!Gonna be an unusual experience for a British speedway fan!

If Pawlicki gets himself injured in this one the day before i'm due to see him at Gorzow,it wont be his Polish club or even Roscoe that will kick his ass,it will be a middle aged English man who's sick of travelling around spending lots of money to see him and him then not turning up!!!!

I know it's along way off,but i'm considering going to this with it being such an easy trip,so as soon as any details are known,re start time,riders etc i'd be gratefull if Johann or Anders could let me know then i will book my flights.

I am going to Gniezno on the 18th July and tried to get a room in that hotel but it was sadly already full so staying in town instead.

When i saw MJJ at Torun he looked more impressive than whenever i've seen Darcy(4 times i think)and really got the crowd going with his style of riding.Good problem to have for Torun!

Next Smederna home match is on 9th June v Nassjo,then long wait till 7th July v Gasarna.Will put it in my diary so can see it all next time.

Just switched on and saw a terrible crash.Who was involved?Ambulance still out. Will there be more meetings shown like this,great to have any extra speedway to watch.

Thanks yet again for so much assistance.I will look into it once my next polish trip is done and dusted, but have made a provisional reservation that night in a hotel in Linkoping so will just get up early and get the train back to Skavsta then. Thanks so much david

yeah thats right we walked past the old stadium about one kilometre before we reached the shiny new version on the same road(And a certain someone baggged himself some shale as a memento!). Good luck,the stadium is amazing!

Wont sell out,less than half full when i went,holds 14,000,reckon will be lucky to get 7k.Tickets easy to buy on the day. When we went it was the last match and they showed the 2 tv matches on the screen before,but no idea if they stay open after the meeting to show the later tv meetings?

Gorzow have finally confirmed to me that the meeting on the 6th June starts at 5pm, so with a train from Poznan due in at 3.30pm it should be possible to get to the stadium and find a ticket(Fingers crossed!) so i've booked a hotel in Gorzow for the night. So no more floods,volcanic ash or national tragedies and i should be fine!!

With Team Gb seeded to the final at RH are the semis qualification done with the two winners and a best runner up? I know Russia sadly aren't involved,so who is the fourth team in the other semi with Denmark,Sweden and Germany?

Back from a great trip to Torun to see the amazing stadium and despite a one sided score lots to relish from the meeting. Next stop was supposed to be Poznan v Daugvapils on 6th June, but somewhere along the way they've swapped dates and are now racing in Latvia that day! So, my back up plan is probably gonna be a 2 hour train ride to Gorzow for the Zielona Gora meeting instead.Looking on the maps, it seems as though the stadium is just over the river from the train station,but it may be a bit of a walk to the bridge,anyone done this before and know how long it takes? This may be important if the fixture has an earlier start as i cant get to Gorzow till 3.30pm.They usually start at 6pm but i guess if its a tv meeting they may start earlier, but they never tell you till the last moment?? Cheers ps no chance of this meeting selling out is there?

Yay, the Torun manager obviously agrees with me and has put MJJ in for Darcy on Sunday!!!
