  1. So when was the stadium sold to the same people that already owned it ? was it offered first to the people who requested it was made an asset of the Community, or did the sale just go ahead without being offered ? in which case the last sale could well be invalid.
  2. Maybe Oxford, and other Stadia could apply to become an asset of the Community.. http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/planninganddevelopment/planningcommunityrighttobid.htm
  3. RIP Bryn, I never met him, but he had Speedway running through his veins, Speedway will be the poorer for his passing, and Im sad that he never got to taste the Pork Sarnies once Dudley Wood had closed.
  4. Well a fully fit Danny Ayres has to be a great signing for The Heathens, yes maybe its something of a gamble with regards fitness but there is no doubting Danny is Mr entertainer, and i would like to welcome him to the Heathens, theres no doubts the Cradley fans love him, and he will for sure put bums on seats so to speak..
  5. Im thinking a few Teams are waiting to see if BV declare to ride in the NL, Bewley, Williamson, Shuttleworth, Bickley would all be riders most Teams would want, Im thinking GD would leave no stone unturned to get a hold of Bickley.
  6. Cradley Heathens have always completed there fixtures in the NL era, as for season tickets Cradleys are usually pretty good value, and usually Play Offs are included in this unlike some. Whilst The old Dudley Wood was pretty primitive, the New Liberal Club in Cradley Heath is pretty modern having been relocated due to recent road improvement schemes, the real reason you maybe need to get there early is because there are Queues to get these season tickets, as i believe record numbers were sold on the first sales night for the 2016 season.
  7. Not to mention Polo Mints, where for years the hole has got bigger, much like the hole in your pocket when you go to a Speedway meeting..
  8. Thanks for the update, but you say No evidence of Armco being removed when photographs on the Save Coventry speedway FB page, clearly show that the Armco has been removed..
  9. Guys, people need to wake up, SS has suggested what to do, you really need loval media, local radio to get down to Brandon and find out whats happening, its all very well saying there is intent to run, but at what cost?. Would anyone really spend thousands of pounds just to run for 1 season, I mean Im hearing there allegedly monies owed and people in the know have been told to get up there and get out what they can.. dont know really whats true, and what isnt.. but for a fact there are people up there this weekend getting even more stuff out of Brandon.
  10. Not forgetting they are currently even at this moment in time, doing a promo at Motorcycle show..
  11. Dudley Wood had only a few months notice, Coventry at least have had 3 years up until now.
  12. Difficult to comment from what we can see of those pics, obviously Sandhu is getting out everything thats saleable, Bars, Fixtures, Fittings etc etc, and the presence of Scrap Men doesnt bode well, i mean a lot will depend on if things are Taken out or ripped out, if they are ripped out, then that can leave behind a hell of a mess, and safety issues, as for the Scrap men well that again could mean the armcove Barriers around the Track, the Floodlight Pylons, and even the Hand rails leading to the Stands, no-one will really know until they get inside the Stadium.. all i can say is Good Luck Coventry, i somehow think you are going to need it.
  13. Iv just asked if its rumour, she says her relatives have been up there today, to collect stuff that they have there, and the place is closing at the weekend, and being gutted.
  14. Someone name of Karen Sealey posted the following on Fb; But where will they be riding as Brandon is closed and bars have been stripped out, lights taken down and seats stripped out?. Now i realise that none of those are needed to race, i think Mr Horton and the BSPA need to get a grip of the situation, If those comments are correct then im thinking Speedway at Brandon next season is going to be difficult to put on, maybe MH would be better forgetting Premiership Speedway, and concentrate on NL..
  15. Nice try , That would mean Perry may get a 5% premium, but the rest would all get up to 40% discount thereby you would probably keep the same Team.
  16. Whilst i understand where you are coming from especially if Clubs want to sell season tickets prior to christmas, the problem could be would the Points building limit be the same for Example 10 Teams, as if the League has 12 Teams, i mean that is a 14 rider difference, and last season Teams were struggling to find available riders..
  17. Maybe to give Bv, and Lakeside time to sort themselves out..
  18. Good luck guys, i knew you just had to be down in Devon/Cornwall on speedway business Laurence, when i saw on your FB you were down in that neck of the woods straight away i thought Plymouth Potentially St Boniface has the makings of being a great assett to the NL once again...
  19. Well done, and thanks for taking the time to do this..
  20. When Plymouth were in the Conference in 2008, Plymouth, Boston, Redcar, Weymouth, Scunthorpe, Buxton, Rye House, Sittingbourne I do believe 2016 compares very favourably with the 2008 Conference League, Boston equal if not further than KL, Sittingbourne = to Kent, and Eastbourne, Redcar must be a long way further than BV, and Scunthorpe a lot further away than Stoke, RH is not a million miles from Mildenhall., so while its true other Teams have a long haul to Plymouth, Plymouth dont have to travel so far as in 2008.
  21. Wow how stupid of me.. how many Millions would cradley want ? A Pork Sarni and a Bottle of Pop maybe..
  22. Yes, and then we can move this thread over to the NL section :)
  23. Why dont berwick have no control over Perry ? he is only a cradley assett.
  24. Im just wondering, theres a certain NL Team manager spending the weekend down that way this week, could he be involved ?, he currently doesnt have a Team to Manage, but he has Cornish rider connections through two current Cornish riders Hmmmmmm it wouldnt surprise me, maybe Im putting 2+2 and coming up with 5, but whoever takes over, in my opinion it has to be NL...
