  1. Worky blew there only chance to win at berwick... they won't get another chance this year.. Vissing is really impressing.. think he's found home
  2. it is true though, I've spent many a Saturday evening analysing the racing at Berwick. Granted good races in 14 and 15 but there were huge gaps between the riders in the early-middle part of last weeks meeting. Home win tonight, interesting to see how we do at Derwent Park against Workington who are not in great form at present.
  3. kyle howarth makes a start, tony rickardsson at his finest aint even going to get a wiff of his shale.. had howarth gated shoddily last week I think he would have struggled to pass Liam Carr, hence why its one of the leading tracks in the world.
  4. Steen reminds me of a young tomasz gollob its only a matter time before he sets the place or the stadium on fire
  5. We are the same as about 10 of the other pl clubs. Waite used the small club mentality on a weekly basis berwick was a place u didn't want to visit. Now it is a home meeting for these away teams. Small club? What rubbish... our focus is infastructure as john said. Pl racing brings in bobbins the big meetings are what intrests the sponsors etc. Hardcore fans who have there own mind want us to get the basics right. John has improved the product no doubt this has been a massive factor in the big meetings coming here. Has it helped the bandits? Probably not
  6. We lost rymel in heat 5 or 11 that day. Newport had mcgowan in for wato I think
  7. Kus even when highly rated... I always found whenever he was in a meeting I watched.. his scorecard usually was 010w
  8. I think with Matejs racing style it will take a few more weeks for his all action style to blend in with the track. It took pepe a season to sort his set up its only matejs 5th meeting at berwick... hell be unstoppable especially with the bandits fans cheering his name stood too attention A sight to behold
  9. Its more cost effective berwick being mid table to bottm placing.
  10. Missing out on berge was a blow to the midsection... But we've got steen jensen who reminds me of a young pepe franc with his tenacious racing style. What steen doesn't achieve in terms of points he makes up with a jade mudgway attitude finding suicide lines with every new race. A nice lad a fans favourite sure to go down in club folklore
  11. I've heard it all kelly hansen ripping up the pl on his 10 point cma and berwick being one of the best tracks in the world.
  12. Lemo has looked slow since 2012 when he scored 3 here. Berwick broke him he's never recovered former glories
  13. on big tracks maybe not on small tracks English doesn't take prisoners he gets the results
  14. what do promoters see in aaron summers? Pontus looks a great signing must be said, one only wonders had the Rebels tracked jd
  15. You ask the local poles have you ever been to berwick speedway? I got this reply Poland is traditionally known as the home of speed. But when I saw the starting posts the engines revving I soon was hooked seeing liam and steen get that five one in heat 2 I forgot about leszno my homeland. I couldn't argue
  16. I could have attended zielona gora tarnow yesterday... hampel vaculik and that world class buczkowski on display. But instead I thought id get more value at the home of speedway so berwick glasgow it was. Passion intensity complete unpredictability a few of the words I would to describe what I witnessed when I attend the Jancarz stadion We may not have the alps but the air that comes off the north sea is pure. Couple that with the racing, riders, fans, racing who needs the alps? We've got cockler and spittal beach two chippies within five minutes walk. Its not hard to see why we have been chosen
  17. i've networked with many in the know Speedway people and the one thing i can say we AGREED on is that Shielfield Park is on a similar footing to the Edgar Jancarz stadium. I happened to see the World Cup meeting there not live of course just on the TV when Tomasz Gollob after a shocking first ride produced Gollob-esque brilliance from 10 years previous to win Poland the WC, it really was a site to behold the atmosphere, fans, racing and apparently Vodka sales went through the roof I went for the mineral water myself but it tasted just as good You ask the relevance of this to Berwick? I shall quality the above statement by saying These big meetings require top venues and from what I see at Berwick like Scott says above we probably have one of the best racing strips and stadia in Europe.. From a personal perspective I don't give a hoot what the score is today, because even in defeat there is victory, the finest riders like Davey Kennet, king and that Bomber Harris will be back at Berwick vying for a place in the 2015 Grand Prix. I can get drunk for that night forget how bad the current team is and dare to dream a dream just for one night ----------------------------------- Fair play to Razor/Heppie they obviously chose there words very well and the performance was a marked improvement a lot of doom and gloom pre meeting hopefully people are in better spirits. Bellego should push Vissing for that no1 jacket, when he is on it he's unstoppable.
